Boa Vista
When looking at this island's desert-like appearance, it's hard to imagine...
Once flush and green, these islands off the western coast of Africa now have a desert-like appearance with scarce vegetation. Only the endless, white and wonderful emerald beaches, perfect for relaxing and practising a wide range of watersports, break with the ochre tones of the land. The repeated dry spells did away with the once plentiful vegetation but not with the smile and good-natured character of its people, which along with the delicious fresh fish that is brought in by the sailors daily, is another reason to come and visit this unique archipelago.
