When you travel to a holidays destination is important to organize the way you will move across it, to comfortably enjoy the place, and have time to visit the most interesting places in the area. Formentera is a small island, and the only way to reach it is by sea, since there is no airport.
From the Ibiza airport
The fastest way to get to Formentera is traveling to Ibiza, and from there take the ferry to the island, as it has no airport. Ibiza international airport receives flights from many parts of the world. It is a few kilometers from the capital of the island, which has the same name: Ibiza. From the airport, you just have to reach the harbor and buy a ticket to the nearby Formentera on the port station.
- Taxi: The easiest way to get from Ibiza airport to the harbor is by taxi. It takes around 10 minutes, and you will find a stop right at the exit of the arrivals area.
- Bus: you also find the chance to buy a bus ticket from Ibiza airport to the port, usually go every 10 minutes by the stop next to the exit, and the route is easy to follow.
Formentera Port
The port of Formentera, called La Savina, is the place where arrive all ferries with destination Formentera. The round trip time is convenient, with many daily frequencies, and less than 30 minutes by boat separating the two islands. There are also water taxis, which, after the last course of the regular ferry, approach ten passenger by speedboat to Formentera. Some transportation companies are Balearia, Trasmediterranea, Iscomar, Interilles Express, Trasmapi, among some others. Once in Formentera is very easy to get to our Hotel Riu La Mola, if you have your own transport you have no more than follow the signs. And if not, you will find taxis and public transport very easily.
