How do I get information on the spa/watersports/excursion services?

Most of our destinations offer spa/watersports/excursions through external companies and it’s always possibe to make arrangements upon arrival to the hotel. For reference we can give you the websites of the most common spa services company and watersports below:

Can I make reservations for dinner?

Dinner reservations for our specialty restaurants require a room number, therefore it needs to be made after check-in. These restaurants work as any other restaurant, you will have to book for the number of peopel at the specific time (usually in the mornings).

Do the rooms come with two double beds or kings?

The rooms usually come with either two double beds or a King. The specific bedding is not guaranteed since it’s assinged upon arrival depending on availability.

What is your high season and your low season?

Christmas week is from Dec 22nd - Jan 1st.

At what time is check-in and check-out?

For most hotesl check-in is at 15:00 and check-out is at 12:00 pm

What happens if I don't make it to the hotel?

The reservations are cancelled at midnight by the hotel and tagged as “No Show”. You need to contact directly the hotel to advise of your late arrival to avoid losing your reservation, however, the night not used must still be paid upon arrival.

Do you offer babysitting services at your resorts?

Most of our hotels offer babysitting services at an additional cost. The price for this service may vary but it often is around 10usd per hour per child.

Does "double room" mean two double beds?

Double room means a room accomodating two people. The single room is the same room but accomodation only one person.

I have food ingredient allergies, can you accommodate my needs?

It’s necessary to contact the concierge, chef or someone at the hotel to discuss the matter.

Do you have conecting rooms available?

Depending on the specific hotel connecting rooms are possible. To verify if the specific hotel you are considering has connecting rooms you can contact us or the Hotel directly.

What's the difference between ocean view and ocean front?

Ocean view can only guarantee at least a side view of the ocean while ocean front can guarantee a more perfect frontal view.

Once I arrive at the hotel can I extend my stay if I like it?

It’s possible to extend your stay by making an additional reservation for the extra nights. These can be confirmed through our call center or the hotel directly but the rates offered by the hotel may be different from the call center.

Can I shorten my stay once there if I can't stay for all the period booked?

As long as it’s not high season or the hotel is not fully booked it’s possible to shorten the stay by confirming it with our call centre only if the reservation was made through it or www.riu.com. If the reservation was made through a third party it will not be possible to credit something to the reservation.

How can I order a Brochure?

To order a brochure is necessary to send an email to reservations04@riu.com with a reference name and the address where you need to receive the brochure. The usual time of delivery is 1and 1/2 weeks.

Is the water safe to drink in your resorts?

The water that you will find in all our hotels is safe to drink when it comes to Ice and beverages, also the provisioned on your minibar is high quality bottled water.

I have a voucher/won a free RIU hotel night. How do I book it?

Send an email to cusotmer.service@riu.com with the hotel and dates required. Since the time of response may vary, it’s recommended to be clear on the dates, hotel and to specify the voucher number at all times in your email communication.
