| This area, between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, lies on the tip of the Baja California peninsula. San José del Cabo, the capital, founded in 1730, offers visitors a wide variety of shops, restaurants, bars, discotheques and hotels. The tip of the peninsula is known as “the end of the earth” by local inhabitants, and from it one can contemplate the exuberant mountains, the desert and the long beaches of white sand.
