This time round it’s Bulgaria’s turn, the location of the marvellous 4-star hotel that we would like to introduce you to: the recently opened Riu Astoria which is our sixth hotel in this destination.

Where is the new hotel located?
The hotel, which opened on 26 April, is located on the famous Golden Sands beach. This new and modern property will be open during the summer months and will offer the exclusive RIU All-Inclusive programme.
The Riu Astoria is in an ideal position for entertainment purposes. It is very close to the shopping and commercial area which is ideal for a leisurely day out with the family. It is also right on the beach, separated from it only by the seafront promenade along which which you can stroll while admiring the picture-postcard beauty of the fine sandy shore.
The facilities include two swimming pools: one indoor and one outdoor.
Thanks to its proximity to the beach and the airport, you can take a trip to visit some of the most iconic landmarks of the surrounding area such as Varna, Cape Kaliakra, the Aladzha Monastery and much, much more!
What are the facilities like at the new hotel Riu Astoria?
The hotel is a modern construction comprising two buildings with eleven floors in the main one and seven in the annex. They are both set in an enormous and beautiful garden which creates the sense of being in the midst of a true paradise. It is, without doubt, a perfect setting for spending a few days on holiday thanks also to its welcoming facilities.

What are the bedrooms like? The hotel has 538 bedrooms fully equipped with every comfort you could ever need so that you lack for nothing during your stay. With regard to the decor, this has been adapted to the new style incorporating the fresher colours and tones to complement the other areas of the hotel. This trend is also evident in the modern bathrooms which echoes the wood tones found in the bedroom. Marvellously relaxing!

What can I eat in Bulgaria?
Every guest will be delighted by the culinary offering at the Riu Astoria given that the variety of the food on offer is sure to adapt to every palate. As far as we are concerned, the most important thing for us is always you.
This is the snack restaurant, ‘Stagioni’ which turns into a speciality Italian restaurant in the evenings.
The hotel has a main restaurant called ‘Astoria’ serving varied international buffets where you can enjoy watching live show-cooking. There is also the snack restaurant ‘Satagioni’ which changes ambience at night to serve Italian specialities. Finally, there is the ‘Tokyo’ restaurant where they serve the very best of Asian cuisine. You can also take advantage of the spectacular Lobby Bar, the Lounge Bar and the pool bar, the latter having the possibility of swimming up to it to enjoy a refreshing drink.
The Lobby Bar provides you with a spacious area in which to relax and enjoy a drink.
What does the new hotel in Bulgaria have to offer by way of activities?
Fun is guaranteed at the Riu Astoria thanks to the variety of daytime and night-time activities that we have lovingly prepared for you to get the most enjoyment out of your stay with us. Part of this offer is directed at those travelling with little children, given that the hotel boasts a Club RiuLand, two children’s pools (outdoor and indoor) and a children’s play area.
Children will just love the RiuLand area prepared exclusively for them.
For the adults, we have prepared a programme of daytime entertainment. The hotel also has a gym and spa so that you can keep as fit and healthy as possible in this wonderful destination. As you know, we love to squeeze as much as possible out of the time you spend in our hotels which is why, in the evenings, we put on live music, shows and entertainment created especially for you.
