The first thing you need to do is pack your suitcase! Find information on everything you are going to need for your trip to the Maldives<\/strong><\/a>. But worry not! There’s not much to think about since your most essential item is going to be your swimwear and a hat of some kind, so you can take a great photo and upload it to social media. Once you have this clear, the next step is to find the quickest flight combination to get to Male<\/strong> airport from your country.<\/p>\n

\"Choose<\/a><\/p>\n

There are many destinations you can fly to where you can then take a direct flight to the capital of the Maldives<\/strong><\/a>, such as Dubai<\/strong> or Sri Lanka<\/strong>. Once you get there you can catch a plane to paradise! We are going to tell you, step by step, everything you need to do once you land in Male<\/strong>. Are you ready to start your trip?<\/p>\n

\"Destinations<\/a><\/p>\n

1. The first stop<\/h2>\n

You have now arrived at Male international airport in the Maldives. Make sure you have your hotel reservation to hand because you will go through immigration control as soon as you enter the airport. It is extremely important to have the reservation with you since the maximum permitted stay in the country is 30 days. The airport is small and has ten boarding gates. You can’t possibly get lost.<\/p>\n

2. Changing terminals<\/h2>\n

Afterwards, once you have picked up your bags, you need to make your way to the domestic flights terminal where you will be taking a flight to Kudahuvadhoo<\/strong>. Once you reach the terminal you will need to find the check-in desk of the company you are flying with. And remember one thing: they will weigh your hand luggage as it cannot weigh more than 5 kg. Once this is done, we recommend that you wait for your flight in the Mooonimaa Lounge. This is a private lounge for several hotels and if you travel with RIU you will have access to it. And best of all? It includes a small buffet and WIFI access.<\/p>\n

3. We’re nearly there!<\/h2>\n

Once you board the plane don’t despair, after all the travelling you have done so far, this flight will be over in the blink of an eye. It only takes 35 minutes and during the short journey you will be given a drink and a snack.<\/p>\n

And at long last! You have arrived in Kudahuvadhoo. One of our staff members will be waiting for you with your hotel card and will accompany you to the bus taking you to the port. Worry not! The journey only takes 10 minutes. Once the ferry arrives to pick you up, you will be a mere 15 minutes from paradise.<\/p>\n

4. Finally! Welcome to the RIU Maldives paradise<\/h2>\n
