Last Friday marked 10 years since RIU arrived in Costa Rica with the Riu Guanacaste<\/a><\/strong> and we are therefore celebrating the hotel’s anniversary and the destination itself. Not only that, but last Saturday marked six years since the opening of the Riu Palace Costa Rica,<\/a><\/strong> which completes RIU’s hotel presence in the country. We couldn’t be more delighted! None of this would have been possible without all of the clients that come to our hotels every year and of course, without the care and affection of the locals. This anniversary is for everyone to enjoy!<\/p>\n

\"This<\/a><\/p>\n

In this double celebration we want to highlight how much both these hotels represent, including, among other things, the beginning of the chain’s activities related to the local area’s economic and social development, as well as a firm commitment to the environment.<\/p>\n

This weekend was also very special for RIU thanks to the opening this Friday of the first Splash Water World in this destination, with the ribbon cutting opening ceremony. After the ceremony a band played live music during the day and our guests got to fully enjoy the new facilities.<\/p>\n

And we continued with these new launches during the whole weekend. Not too long ago Riu Party arrived in Costa Rica to hold a major party in the Riu Guanacaste square every Friday. This week was the first time a White Party was held where everyone was encouraged to celebrate this double anniversary. And best of all? This is only the first of many parties that are going to be held from now on, since they are here to stay!<\/p>\n

We are very proud of the number of years we have spent in this fantastic location which has given us so much joy. We would like to thank each and every one of you and to all the RIU employees who work hard every day to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
