The renovation of the Riu Concordia<\/strong>, in Playa de Palma, has been one of the big events this summer, in a year that marks half a century since RIU opened this emblematic hotel in Mallorca. Today, in the most visual way possible, we show you all the changes we have done to the hotel. This is the before and after of Riu Concordia!<\/p>\n

Bedrooms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The hotel’s 272 rooms now also feature soft, up-lifting colours, which are complemented by the use of furniture in light coloured wood. We provide free WiFi in the bedrooms and well as throughout the entire hotel, and bathrooms with comfortable and spacious walk-in showers.<\/p>\n

Lobby<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The renovation of the Riu Concordia<\/a>, which offers half-board accommodation, totally changed the layout and concept of its common areas. The new style leaves behind its old dark brown dull features, and now offers new range of bright and cheerful colours in all the main areas. The renovation additionally features wide open spaces, where the outdoor and indoor areas of the hotel connect with large windows allowing the entry of direct sunlight.<\/p>\n

Bars and restaurants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The style and decoration of the restaurants has been adapted to match with the other areas. The simplicity of the white and pale colours has replaced the dark browns of the furniture and food stations. In addition to adding decorative elements in pale and gold colours, we have also changed the lighting, by adding large windows that allow more sunlight to enter the rooms.<\/p>\n

The swimming pool area of the Riu Concordia has also changed to now feature pale and sophisticated tones that have been used after the hotel’s renovation process, eliminating the reddish coloured tiles.<\/p>\n
