As part of its Proudly Committed<\/strong> sustainability strategy, RIU Hotels<\/strong> actively participated in the 9th March Against Cancer<\/strong> held in Palma de Mallorca<\/strong> on November 3rd. The RIU team, consisting of 163 participants<\/strong>, joined the initiative promoted by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC)<\/strong> and the 1st Challenge Against Cancer<\/strong> by FEHM, becoming the second hotel company with the highest representation at this charitable event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9th Solidarity Run \u201cMallorca On the Move Against Cancer\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At RIU<\/strong>, we are fully aware of the importance of supporting social causes. Within the framework of World Breast Cancer Day<\/strong> (October 19th), we joined this classic Mallorcan autumn event. This day is not just a sports competition, but a collective effort to raise funds for research and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the relevance of the event grew thanks to the 1st Challenge Against Cancer<\/strong>, an initiative by the Mallorca Hotel Business Federation (FEHM)<\/strong> and the AECC<\/strong> to unite the hospitality sector. The result was a resounding success in terms of participation, demonstrating the strength of our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Red Tide of Team RIU: Data and Participation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our team, the “riunners,” showed exceptional commitment. Starting at the iconic Parc de la Mar<\/strong>, in front of the Palma Cathedral, we took part in the two available categories: the 8-kilometer run and the 4-kilometer walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
