Seven days is plenty of time. According to Genesis, that’s how long it took God to create the world. It’s also how long you need to recover from the flu (a myth?) and the length of each phase of the lunar cycle. But leaving aside theories of creation, urban legends and astral knowledge, we can say without a doubt that one week used wisely is enough for a variety of different activities. At RIU<\/strong> we have a plan for you: a week with us at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya<\/strong><\/a> with suggestions of things to do on each of those seven days.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Day 1<\/strong>: You arrive at the hotel (24h All-Inclusive)<\/strong> and leave your luggage in one of its comfortable and spacious rooms. You’re tired, so you don’t have the energy for an excursion. You have some lunch at the free buffet and decide to take stroll around the hotel, until you reach the pool, where you dive in. Since you ate lunch at the buffet, you want to try the dishes at the Mexican restaurant<\/strong>. You enjoy the rich Mexican cuisine and go to bed. Tomorrow will be a long, fun-filled day!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Day 2<\/strong>: You wake up and have a full breakfast at the hotel’s free buffet. You’ll need plenty of energy for the day that awaits you: you’re going to visit the Island of Cozumel<\/strong>, just a few minutes away by ferry, to go snorkelling in one of the most impressive marine ecosystems in the world. After getting back to the hotel and having some lunch, the best thing you can do is to digest your meal while exploring the 35,000m2<\/sup> of gardens at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya. Having gotten some rest in the afternoon, you end the day by going to one of the live shows.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Day 3: <\/strong>This is the day you’re going to visit the ancient Mayan ruins, one of the area’s major attractions. Your destination is Cob\u00e1<\/strong>, where besides the ancient temples and pyramids of one of the most important pre-Colombian civilizations, you’ll be able to immerse yourself in its cenotes. It’s worth seeing. Following the visit and after recharging your batteries, you want to enjoy a night of rhythm and decide to go to the La Pi\u00f1ata disco.<\/p>\n

Day 4: <\/strong>You get up late after a night of partying, so your day will be dedicated to total relaxation. After lunch you head for Playa del Carmen<\/strong>, where you’ll lie down on one of its beaches with its white sands and turquoise waters after checking out the place. You’re tired, so you return to the hotel to dine at the Japanese restaurant. It’s excellent.<\/p>\n

Day 5: <\/strong>After breakfast you decide to spend part of the morning playing on one of the best golf courses in the area: the Club de Golf de Playacar<\/strong>. When you’re done, since you have time, you have lunch after watching the food being prepared at our live cooking station. You’re not overly tired and you’ve been eating quite a lot, so a little exercise in the hotel gym isn’t a bad idea After your shower and the delicious dinner in our Brazilian restaurant, you enjoy the live music offered by the Riu Palace Riviera Maya.<\/p>\n

Day 6: <\/strong>It’s your last full day on the Mayan Riviera and you haven’t visited Canc\u00fan<\/strong> yet, so you decide to go in the morning. Once you’re there, it’s not a bad idea to eat in one of the restaurants in the area, go shopping and visit the San Miguelito ruins or the Mayan Museum of Cancun<\/span>. Before going to bed, for the last time, you enjoy a delicious dinner in one of our theme restaurants and the view from your room.<\/p>\n

Day 7: <\/strong>Having eaten breakfast and collected your belongings, you’re ready to leave the hotel. You take a last dip<\/strong> in the pool or soak in the jacuzzi and leave the Riu Palace Riviera Maya to go to the airport. Your week on the Mayan Riviera is over.<\/p>\n

Seven days. That’s how long you needed to see the ancient Mayan enclaves, enjoy the scenery and beaches of Playa del Carmen, sample all types of cuisine, practise various sports and activities, and relax in the facilities of the Riu Palace Riviera Maya<\/strong>.
