A multi-generational group that since 2009 has been enjoying its holidays at the same destination, Fuerteventura, and staying at the same hotel: the ClubHotel Riu Oliva Beach Resort. More than 80 years separate the ages of the youngest and the oldest member of a family that has found in the dunes of Corralejo the perfect place to spend its holidays together.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9813.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3900\" src=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9813.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9813.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9813-250x250.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9813-120x120.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9813-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9813-65x65.jpg 65w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9813-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>From their first stay at the ClubHotel Riu Oliva Beach Resort, the Jauberts were brought together by part of one of the member&#8217;s family by marriage, the Poggios. This year twenty-seven of them travelled together to Fuerteventura. Among the Jaubert family, we find one who is possibly the youngest guest ever to stay at the hotel. Two years ago, the youngest grandchild in the family, an infant less than one month old, was part of the group.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9667.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3899\" src=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9667.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9667.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9667-250x188.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9667-120x90.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9667-320x240.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9667-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The fact that there are so many of them means that they appreciate the amenities provided by the hotel with the different services. According to Pedro Jaubert, the family&#8217;s spokesperson, \u201cthe restaurants make it easy for us to eat together; the bars give us a chance to sit around the table as a family after meals and chat\u201d; and the reception staff has always taken care of all our requests, which over the years have been varied and diverse due to the heterogeneous nature of the group&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9500.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3898\" src=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9500.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9500-250x188.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9500-120x90.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9500-320x240.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9500-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For them, another thing that has made them repeat customers for stays ranging from a week to ten days, is its location (it&#8217;s outside the urban centre of one town but close to another, it&#8217;s surrounded by the magnificent dunes of Corralejo, it has heavenly beaches&#8230;) and its staff. \u201cThey have a considerable number of long-time employees, all of them notable for their pleasantness, friendliness and professionalism\u201d, says Pedro Jaubert.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9698.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3901\" src=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9698.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9698.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9698-250x188.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9698-120x90.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9698-320x240.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9698-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After so many years of hosting us, they&#8217;ve been part of memorable moments. The youngest members of the family have learned to swim in the hotel pools. \u201cFor all of them, we&#8217;ve filmed that moment when they are let go and have to stay afloat without a flotation device\u201d, Pedro tells us. And in fact, one member of the family got married this summer, and the couple was welcomed at the hotel by the family, who improvised a wedding march to the chapel where everyone toasted with cava provided by the hotel.
