This is most certainly the case of Christiane and Thomas, the protagonists of today\u2019s story. Christiane has decided to share her story with us to celebrate her 25<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>Back in August 1990, her husband and her travelled to <a title=\"Holidays in Majorca\" href=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/en\/Paises\/spain\/majorca\/index.jsp\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Mallorca<\/strong><\/a> separately, each one with their own friends and spent 10 days at our <a title=\"Riu Concordia Hotel\" href=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/en\/Paises\/spain\/majorca\/hotel-riu-concordia\/index.jsp\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>hotel Riu Concordia<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Both of them arrived on the 17<sup>th<\/sup> August 1990 with their friends but soon became part of a larger holiday group of 8, enjoying their holiday at the pool, minigolf and also taking tours of the island.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-575 size-full\" title=\"Playa del Arenal\" src=\"http:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Strand-von-El-Arenal.jpeg\" alt=\"Playa del Arenal\" width=\"1022\" height=\"686\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Strand-von-El-Arenal.jpeg 1022w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Strand-von-El-Arenal-250x168.jpeg 250w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Strand-von-El-Arenal-768x516.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Strand-von-El-Arenal-700x470.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Strand-von-El-Arenal-120x81.jpeg 120w, https:\/\/www.riu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Strand-von-El-Arenal-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1022px) 100vw, 1022px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The sun, the beach and the summer nights were the perfect atmosphere for a summer romance, \u201cI had fallen for one of the young men, but it wasn\u2019t until the second-to-last evening before we dared say anything. Early, at half past 6 we decided to go to sleep for 1 hour, which was impossible because I was really excited. At breakfast we shared a kiss and the rest of our group knew. Finally!, they all said and we had to laugh. They knew about us before we did!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After that it was time to fly back home. However, it did not mean the end of Christiane and Thomas\u2019 love story. \u201c250 km separated us from each other as well as many people telling us to forget it, it is and will always be a holiday acquaintance.\u201d But they both proved them wrong and made it work: \u201cAfter half a year of commuting I moved to be with Thomas.
