Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin

Just back from a three night stay. This is our sixth time at The Gresham and won’t be our last. We had friends with us this time who had never been to Dublin they were also bowled over by the oasis of calm when you come into the hotel from O’Connell Street. We had a deluxe queen room facing out over the street. It was well laid out very clean and the bed was comfortable. The a/c was much needed and cooled the room beautifully. Plenty of tea coffee and biscuits. Also provided was a refillable water bottle which is an excellent addition. Our breakfast was perfect a huge choice and cooked beautifully. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Do enjoy a nightcap in the bar at the end of a busy day. It’s a really relaxing ambience. Thank You for another great stay.

We had a four night stay ant the Gresham, our first visit in Ireland. We have been to many Rui hotels around the world, but this one was different. It seemed to work in 2 halves. When you arrive, there are 2 or 4 male staff, hanging around the reception area. They are not proactive with helping guests with bags, information, directions or anything really. Not sure of their purpose. On arrival, it didn’t feel there was a nice welcome from staff. Booking in was polite, and efficient. Room was well air conditioned, clean, with tea and coffee, which was regularly topped up. The breakfast was excellent. Nicely cooked food, many options, and a big plus. The restaurant was good, with very friendly staff. Food was excellent, and it was a nice bonus. On the whole, a bit mixed. Although the position of the hotel is very good for all of your exploring on foot, or by bus or tram.
