"Compact All Inclusive"
Spent a week at this RIU hotel. Was allocated a nice room with sea view on the 2nd floor. Dining follows the common practice of breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant and lunch in another near the pool. I was well looked after by Mohammad in the first and Hansas in the second both kept my glass full if required. There was a good variety of food and I especially enjoyed the evening carvery. I didn't use the alternative evening restaurants so cannot comment on them. One thing in both restaurants I personally found the food areas a little dark and found reading the menu cards above the food which are black print on grey card hard to read in some places, but just my personal take on that. There is just the one pool and as usual 90% of the sunbeds are claimed with towels by 8am and again many lie empty unused for most of the day. I never had to wait at the pool bar and in the outside seated area staff frequently patrolled to take your drink order. All the staff I met were polite and welcoming the only exception to this was a receptionist who when I asked if he could change a local currency note for coins claimed to have none available, I did think this in a four star hotel strange. Overall a pleasant AI Stay. The hotel overlooks a nice promenade and the wide beach which is a pleasant way to go for an easy walk.
"Thanks all our Morocco friends"
This is the first time visiting Morocco and believe me it won’t be the last. On arrival at the airport our pre-booked taxi was waiting on us and the driver made the short journey most enjoyable. Check in was very swift and the room we were allocated could not have been better. The sea view was to die for.The room was spacious with an amazing shower. The only downside to the room was the air conditioning or should I say lack off. Despite numerous conversations with reception it was never fixed. Breakfast was buffet style with a varied choice and to a good standard. An observation was some staff preferred talking to each other rather than clearing the dirty dishes, the exception to this rule Abdou. We positioned ourselves close to the juice machine (walk straight when you come in the door) and this man was a credit to the hotel and an excellent example of good customer relations. Lunch was served at the restaurant close by the beach and again a varied choice however was rather repetitive. Evening meal like lunch a good standard but repetitive. As previous comments the war around the pool with towels was unbelievable. The earliest time recorded for the towels was 04.35hrs. Although someone reported they witnessed towels being placed prior to a group going to bed! We chose to spend our day on the beach which the hotel had a bit roped off. No towel war here beds were always available. There were a few improvements the hotel require to address immediately in relation the beach. In the two weeks we were there never once was it cleaned. Beds never washed down sand never raked rubbish lying around never lifted tables never cleaned and no waiter service to the beach. In the high winds one night two posts blown over never repaired. GYM absolutely excellent and during our stay the opening time changed to 06.00hrs Although the hotel is listed as a TUI Blue 4 star I believe there are a few small points require addressing to maintain this rating. Regular maintenance in and around the grounds. Cutting the grass is on thing however what about the edgings, dead branches on trees etc. This may sound picky however it’s not meant to be, none of what I said would stop me revisiting well the lack of air conditioning might. Thanks to the staff we hope to see you again.
