"Enjoyable holiday"
The hotel and gardens are well maintained and very clean including room housekeeping. Waiter service is to a high standard. The rooms are spacious and the low rise building design means it's quiet and good for sleeping. It would be good to have a clothes rail on the terrace to dry swimwear and towels though. Food in the buffet restaurant and evening restaurant is ok but choice is very repetitive and I would say better in the evening than lunchtime but definitely more 3* than 4*. We found the Moroccan restaurant much better quality which you can book once during your stay. The pool is large however, other than the indoor pool there is not a quiet/relax pool option so if you prefer a more chilled pool area this may not be for you. We found reception staff to be friendly but information given was very limited during checking-in. The animation team are something else, so friendly and work very hard at creating a fun holiday atmosphere. One improvement which I mentioned would be to the pool music while the animation team are away - from morning until 10.30am and from 12.30 until 3pm. There is one song on constant repeat which is very, very annoying, much better to have a mix? I've deducted a star for the food quality and repitition but overall we had a really enjoyable holiday.
"Wouldn’t Recommend"
We have just recently returned from a 10 night stay at this hotel and I would not recommend it to any young couple. Firstly, if you’re looking for an alcoholic drink you will definitely not get it here (unless you’re drinking the beer you may get ‘tipsy’). When we arrived we had to wait 2 hours for our room to be available so we decided to go to the bar and have a few cocktails, what we didn’t realise was that even though they have an alcoholic cocktail list you need to actually ask them to put the alcohol in. I then decided to go onto the double vodka and orange but again there was no taste of vodka at all. We decided to walk up to the supermarket up the street to get a bottle of vodka so we could add this to our drinks. Secondly, the entertainment started at half 9 every night however it didn’t actually start until 21:45 the time they set everything up, by the time it started everyone was tired and wasn’t even going to the disco at 22:30, everyone just headed back to their rooms. Thirdly, the food was very repetitive, it was the same things for breakfast, lunch and dinner with only a few changes at dinner. Don’t get me wrong the staff were lovely and very friendly but I just don’t think it’s the best hotel to stay at.
