CONDITIONS OF THE RIU CLASS PROGRAMME
1. RIU Class general legal terms
1.1 The RIU Class Program, account and/or card (digital or physical) are property of RIUSA II, S.A., Calle Laud s/n, 07610 Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
1.2 - RIUSA II, S.A. must be informed in writing by the cardholder of any changes in the cardholder’s name, address or identification document (passport or identity document) and the date thereof at the main offices in Palma de Mallorca at RIU Class, C/ Laud s/n, 07610 Palma de Mallorca, at [email protected] or by changing their personal data onwww.riu.com. RIUSA II, S.A. shall not be held responsible for any malfunction or damage caused to guests that arises from non-compliance with the previous paragraph.
1.3 RIUSA II, S.A. reserves the right to discontinue RIU Class member accounts, as well as cancel their points and future bookings, with immediate effect and without prior notice, in the following cases:
a) The cardholder and/or beneficiaries make improper or fraudulent use of the program and its benefits.
b) The cardholder and/or beneficiaries display an inappropriate, hostile or abusive attitude during their stay at our hotels, towards guests or RIU employees.
c) The cardholder and/or beneficiaries fail to pay for services and stays.
d) The cardholder and/or beneficiaries are RIU employees or related to RIU employees.
1.4 The request for registration in the RIU Class program is considered the participant’s explicit authorisation that their data can be provided with advertising purposes solely to RIU Group companies and their franchised establishments. Completion of the information requested is compulsory. Data subjects can exercise their rights at any time with the data controller in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 by writing to the ‘Dpto. de Seguridad de la Información’ at RIUSA II S.A., C/ Laud s/n (RIU Centre) 07610 Palma de Mallorca - SPAIN, or via email to [email protected].
1.5 RIUSA II, S.A. reserves the right to cancel or modify, totally or partially, with or without prior notice, the conditions of the RIU Class Program, the points accrual and redemption tables and service agreements with partners at destinations. The clauses stated at www.riu.com shall be understood to be in effect at all times, superseding any previous conditions. All points earned by cardholders shall be cancelled should the program be annulled. RIUSA II, S.A. is not liable for any damages or prejudicial consequences caused by the cancellation or modification of the RIU Class program. RIU Class points may not be redeemed for cash under any circumstances whatsoever.
1.6 RIUSA, II S.A. and companies belonging to Grupo RIU Hotels in Spain or other countries, decline any liability arising from the inability, for any reason whatsoever, including force majeure and acts of God, to fully comply with the provisions mentioned above that incorporate the rules of the RIU Class program. Under no circumstances shall they be held liable for damages and prejudicial consequences arising from the compliance or non-compliance with any of the terms and conditions contained in the RIU Class program rules.
1.7 RIU Class program terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Spain and shall be brought before the Courts of Palma de Mallorca.
1.8 The cardholder may withdraw their consent to receive promotional communications at any time through the members’ area at www.riu.com, on the “RIU Hotels & Resorts” app for iOS (iPad, iPhone) or Android or via the promotional communications following the Unsubscribe instructions.
2. Registration as RIU Class
2.1 The RIU Class terms and conditions posted at www.riu.com are considered in effect, superseding any previous conditions.
2.2 The registration form available at www.riu.com, the “RIU Hotels & Resorts” app for iOS (iPad, iPhone) or Android, the hotel, the digital totem display, or any other format established for this purpose, must be completed in full to register on the RIU Class program. Registration can also be made by phoning our Call Center.
2.3 Pursuant to current legislation on personal data processing, only the owner of such data (the client) may register for our loyalty programs, declaring irrefutably their acceptance of the legal terms and conditions. Only the owner may exercise their right to modify or cancel their personal data. Should the registration or updating of data be carried out by a third party (agency or other commercial intermediary), this should be done with the prior and unequivocal written consent of the owner of the data.
2.4 Legal entities, as well as employees in the tourism sector are excluded from the program. Cardholders must be 18 years of age or over.
2.5 The RIU Class card is personal and non-transferable. All names and surnames must be registered as they appear on the person’s passport or ID. The email address registered in the account must be personal and non-transferable and belong to the RIU Class account holder. Cardholder’s other beneficiaries may be added after the RIU Class program card has been issued, provided that they meet the requirements established in point 2.4.
2.6 Each account is allowed one account holder, one adult beneficiary (who must be the account holder’s partner) and their children aged between 2 and 18 years.
2.7 You cannot register for more than one RIU Class account. Any duplicated members and their points will be automatically cancelled, as well as any future bookings, without prior notification.
2.8 Anyone registering with RIU Class will receive an 8-digit RIU Class account number. This number is linked to the customer’s RIU Class account and identifies them as a member of the program.
2.9 The RIU Class program consists of 3 categories: RIU Class Classic, RIU Class Gold and RIU Class Diamond.
3. Program benefits
3.1 Requests at hotels
3.1.1 RIU Class account holders can makes requests from hotels, up to 7 days before arrival, through the members’ area of www.riu.com or the “RIU Hotels & Resorts” app for iOS (iPad, iPhone) or Android, depending on their category.
3.1.2 RIU Class Pre-Classic and RIU Class Classic categories:
a) Location: if they so wish, the RIU Class member may choose to have their room in a quiet or sunny area, with a view, on the top floor, or on the ground floor, provided that this is compatible with the type of room they have booked. Subject to availability.
b) Other remarks: the RIU Class member can indicate whether the reason for their stay is for their honeymoon. They can also request two beds or a king-size bed in the room. Subject to availability.
c) Adjacent rooms: in the event that the RIU Class member is staying with a group of people, they can add the booking reference of the other rooms to request that they are situated as close together as possible. Subject to availability.
d) Upgrade with points and/or cash: the RIU Class member can request an upgrade on the category of the reserved room. Availability and price will be indicated by reception on the day of arrival. In the event that the RIU Class member accepts the conditions of the room change, they must pay the category change on their extras bill, either in cash and/or fully or partially redeeming their points (if not indicated otherwise), as stated in point 5.1.
e) Late check-out with points and/or cash: the RIU Class member may request to check out of the room later (late check-out). Availability and price will be indicated by reception on the day of arrival. In the event that the RIU Class member accepts the conditions of the late check-out, they must pay the additional time on their extras bill, either in cash and/or fully or partially redeeming their points (if not indicated otherwise), as stated in point 5.1.
f) Points exchange for extras: points can be redeemed on your extras bill automatically whenever the cardholder has points and does not indicate otherwise. If the RIU Class member does not wish to use their points to pay the hotel extras bill, they may block their points in their private area.
g) Use of an exclusive queue: RIU Class members will be able to enjoy this exclusive benefit to speed up their check-in process at hotels.
3.1.3. RIU Class Gold category:
RIU Class Gold members can perform the requests mentioned in a), b), c), d), f) and g) of point 3.1.2 and also:
a) Room number: the RIU Class Gold member can request a specific room number, provided that there is no change in the type of room booked. Subject to availability.
b) Free late check-out: the RIU Class Gold member can request a late check-out (maximum 3 p.m.), subject to availability on the day of arrival.
c) Free upgrade to an Elite Club room: the RIU Class Gold member can request an upgrade to the contracted room to the following room category in hotels where the Elite Club service is available. Subject to availability. The Elite Club wristband will only be issued when the guest stays in an Elite Club category room.
3.1.4. RIU Class Diamond category:
RIU Class Diamond members can perform the requests mentioned in a), b), c), f) and g) of point 3.1.2 and also:
a) Room number: the RIU Class Diamond member can request a specific room number, provided that there is no change in the type of room booked.
b) Free late check-out: the RIU Class Diamond member can request a late check-out (maximum 3 p.m.), subject to availability on the day of arrival.
c) Free room upgrade: the RIU Class Diamond member can request a room upgrade of the contracted room to the following category of room. Subject to availability.
d) Early check-in: the RIU Class Diamond member can request checking in and using the room from 10 a.m., subject to availability on the day of arrival.
e) Free upgrade to an Elite Club room: the RIU Class Diamond member can request an upgrade of the contracted room to the following room category in hotels where the Elite Club service is available. Subject to availability. The Elite Club wristband will only be issued when the guest stays in an Elite Club category room.
3.2 Transferring points between accounts
3.2.1 RIU Class cardholders can transfer points between different RIU Class accounts through the members’ area on www.riu.com or the “RIU Hotels & Resorts” app for iOS (iPad, iPhone) or Android.
3.2.2 To transfer points, the origin account cardholder must provide the RIU Class card number of the beneficiary of the transfer (destination account), as well as the number of points to be transferred.
3.2.3 The " RIU Class welcome points" (ING), "Member Get Member"" (MGM), "Exclusive credit points" (WRC) and blocked points cannot be transferred.
3.2.4 Transfers cannot be cancelled once effected.
3.2.5 Points transfers are detailed under the heading of "Points transfer" (TRS) in the points statements of the origin account cardholder and the destination account.
3.3 Birthday present
RIU Class account holders who provide consent to receive advertising will, on their birthday, receive a birthday present to their registered email address. Valid from the first birthday after creating the RIU Class account. Non-refundable benefit.
3.4 RIU Class direct bookings
3.4.1 “RIU Class direct bookings” are those made through the RIU Class account on www.riu.com, via our Call Center or through the “Riu Hotels & Resorts” app for iOS (iPad, iPhone) or Android whose locator starts with WRC.
3.4.2 “RIU Class direct bookings” shall be made in the name of the RIU Class cardholder seeking to make the booking (hereinafter the booking party) who has identified themselves and following verification of the number of RIU Class points.
3.4.3 It is an essential condition for at least one of the guests in the " RIU Class direct booking" to be a RIU Class member of the account used to make said booking.
3.4.4 The cardholder of the RIU Class account can redeem their points in " RIU Class direct bookings", as indicated in point 5.2.
3.4.5 Bookings paid for totally or partially with points do not generate "Points for holidays" (VAC) or “Additional points" (OFE).
3.4.6 Bookings and cancellations: users can amend or cancel " RIU Class direct bookings" through the Call Center and cancel on www.riu.com. The modification, cancelation and no-show conditions of the booking shall be those that appear in the purchasing process specified on the website and which users know and expressly accept at the time the booking is made.
3.4.7 " RIU Class direct bookings" enjoy exclusive discounts. These are as follows:
3.4.7.a) Free transfer at selected destinations
- “RIU Class direct bookings” for a minimum of 3 nights and made at least 7 days in advance for Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Aruba, Costa Rica, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Playa Blanca, Sri Lanka, Dubai, Mauritius, Senegal (valid until October 2024) and Zanzibar are eligible for a free airport-hotel-airport transfer in a shared transport service.
- “Riu Class direct bookings” for a minimum of 3 nights and made at least 7 days in advance for Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Torremolinos, Madeira, Mallorca (from May 2025) and Tenerife (except Riu Garoe) are eligible for a free airport-hotel-airport transfer in a shared transport service. Service valid until October 2025.
- “RIU Class direct bookings" for a minimum of 1 night in the Maldives that are made at least 3 days in advance are eligible for a special RIU Class member rate.
You must contact our Call Center directly to add the transfer for existing bookings that meet the free transfer conditions.

3.4.7.b) Two free massages
"RIU Class direct bookings" with a billing amount for the stay of more than €4,500 or its equivalent in the booking currency, provided that publicity is accepted, will, 7 days before arrival, receive the form to request 2 massages lasting 25 minutes in:

The RIU Class client must fill out the form before arriving at the hotel. At Easter and Christmas, it must be filled out at least 5 days in advance.
To book additional massages, clients must contact the spa reception directly. Non-refundable benefit.
3.4.7.c) Two accesses to the airport’s VIP lounge.
" RIU Class direct bookings" with a billing amount for the stay of more than €4,500 or its equivalent in the booking currency, provided that publicity is accepted, will, 7 days before arrival, receive the form to request 2 accesses to the VIP lounge at selected airports, which must be sent back at least 3 working days in advance. During Easter and Christmas the minimum advance will be 5 days.
This does not apply to bookings for the Hotel Riu Garoe. To book additional access to VIP lounges, visit www.loungepass.com Non-refundable benefit.
3.4.7.d) RIU Class member rates
The RIU Class cardholder can consult the “RIU Class member rate” by contacting our Call Center and stating their RIU Class number, on our “RIU Hotels & Resorts” app for iOS (iPad, iPhone) or Android and on www.riu.com, having previously logged in. The RIU Class member rates are as follows:
- “RIU Class member rate" at RIU Plaza hotels: includes up to 10% off included in the rate for all R RIU Class members.
- “RIU Class member rate” at RIU’s All-Inclusive resorts in Asia, Tanzania and Mauritius: includes up to 10% off included in the rate for all RIU Class members, except for residents of Sri Lanka at the Riu Sri Lanka hotel and residents of Mauritius at hotels in Mauritius.
- “RIU Class member rate” at RIU’s All-Inclusive resorts in America: includes up to 10% off included in the rate for all RIU Class members, except for residents of Costa Rica at hotels in Costa Rica, residents of Panama at the hotel Riu Playa Blanca, residents of Jamaica at hotels in Jamaica and residents of the Dominican Republic at hotels in the Dominican Republic.
- “RIU Class member rate” at RIU’s resorts in Europe, Morocco and Senegal: includes up to 10% off included in the rate for all RIU Class members, except for residents of Senegal at the Hotel Riu Baobab.
- There may be other “RIU Class member rate” combinations that do not appear in the list above. The RIU Class member will be able to identify these " RIU Class member rate" when they check availability on www.riu.com or our “RIU Hotels & Resorts” app for iOS (iPad, iPhone) or Android, provided that they have logged in.
- “RIU Class member rates" do not apply to package bookings (flight + hotel) or bookings at the hotel Riu Garoe.
4. Earn points
4.1 Through stays
4.1.1 RIU Class members can accumulate "Points for holidays" (VAC) and/or "Additional points" (OFE) per night and per member registered with the program, for stays at a RIU hotel as soon as the registration form is completed.
Points can be accumulated directly, through tour operators, travel agencies and/or online agencies, regardless of who has made the payment and the amount paid, except in the cases mentioned in point 4.1.2.
RIU Classic hotels accumulate 10 “Points for holidays” per member and night. RIU Plaza hotels accumulate 20 “Points for holidays” per member and night. RIU Palace hotels accumulate 30 "Points for holidays” per member and night.
Preferential hotels accumulate “Additional points" according to the date of the stay. Accumulable points can be viewed in the points simulator.
4.1.2 Bookings paid for totally or partially by points, as well as bookings made through the RIU Partner Club, invitations, compensation vouchers, RIU Hotels & Resorts employee rates or children under 2 years do not accumulate "Points for holidays" (VAC) or "Additional points" (OFE).
4.1.3 RIU Class members are recommended to request a statement of their points when they check out of all of their RIU hotel stays.
4.2 Through RIU Class direct bookings
4.2.1 RIU Class members can accumulate points for the monetary amount of the “RIU Class direct booking"
4.2.2 For RIU Class members prepaying bookings (prior to arrival), points will be registered as provisional in the RIU Class account of the person making the reservation, and will be calculated in the currency in which the booking was made. Points will remain provisional, and will only become definite and added to the available balance in the 7 days following check-out.
4.2.3 For RIU Class members paying at the hotel (hotel payment), points will be registered in the RIU Class account of the person paying for the stay, and will be calculated in the local currency of the country in which the hotel is located. Clients will be given a receipt with the amount in local currency. Points will become definite and added to the available balance in the 7 days following check-out.
4.2.4 The equivalent of each currency in RIU Class points is as follows:

4.2.5 The crediting of "Points for direct bookings" (DIRE) will be applied after discounts, exchanges and tax.
4.3 Through extras at RIU Plaza hotels
4.3.1 RIU Class members can accumulate points for extras charged to the room during stays at RIU Plaza hotels. Points will only be accumulated for items exchangeable for points.
4.3.2 The equivalent of each currency in RIU Class points is as follows:

4.3.3 The crediting of "Points for extras" (FACT) will be applied after discounts, exchanges and tax.
4.4 Through ‘Member Get Member’
4.4.1 RIU Class account holders can accumulate points for "Member get member" (MGM) invitations, with a maximum of five recommendations per calendar year, when a friend or family member creates their account on www.riu.com or our “RIU Hotels & Resorts” app for iOS (iPad, iPhone) or Android, and adds the RIU Class account number of the recommender in the field "I’ve been recommended by account number" on the RIU Class registration form.
4.4.2 "Member get member" (MGM) points, with a maximum of five recommendations per calendar year, will become definite and be added to the available balance when the RIU Class accounts of both the recommended member and recommender have registered their first visits and checked out. If "RIU Class Welcome Points" (ING) are accumulated, "Member Get Member" (MGM) points will be removed from the recommended member and recommender’s account.
4.4.3 RIU Class account holders can browse their invitations in the members’ area, under the “Invite a friend” section.
4.4.4 In the event that the RIU Class account of the recommended member and/or the recommender is deleted or cancelled for any of the reasons stated in point 1.3, the points obtained for the "Member get member" (MGM) invitation will be cancelled automatically and without prior notice.
4.4.5 "Member get member" (MGM) points cannot be transferred.
4.5 Special promotions
4.5.a) Welcome points
The RIU Class program allows “RIU Class welcome points” (ING) to be accumulated when the “Welcome Code” field is completed on the registration form with a valid code that fulfils the terms and conditions of the prevailing promotion at that time.
If “RIU Class welcome points” (ING) are accumulated, “Member Get Member” (MGM) points will be deleted from the account of the recommended person and the recommender.
"RIU Class welcome points" (ING) cannot be transferred.
4.5.b) Exclusive credit points
"Exclusive credit points" (WRC) are only valid for those RIU Class accounts selected for "RIU Class direct bookings" for the duration of the promotion established in the terms and conditions of each promotion. Points used will be converted into definitive points and added to the account’s points balance, with a maximum of points established in the terms and conditions of each promotion.
In the event that the "RIU Class direct bookings" made with "Exclusive credit points" (WRC) are cancelled, these points will be automatically deleted from the account.
“Exclusive credit points” (WRC) not used by the end of the promotion will be deleted from the RIU Class account and not added to the available points balance in the account.
“Exclusive credit points” (WRC) cannot be transferred.
4.5.c) Promotional points for a booking
"Promotional points for your booking" (RES) are accumulated with valid and current promotions. These points will only be accumulated by the first guest on the booking. Points will become definite and added to the available balance in the 7 days following check-out. Points will become definite and added to the available balance in the 7 days following check-out.
5. Points exchange
5.1 For extras
5.1.1 Extras are understood to be any additional charges that are charged to a room during the stay of a RIU Class member such as, for example: room upgrade, late check-out, beverages, food, romantic dinners, use of the telephone, Wi-Fi, safe rental, minibar, laundry, purchases in the destination’s RIU Shop, etc.
5.1.2 Points can be redeemed on your extras bill automatically, whenever the cardholder has points and does not indicate otherwise.
5.1.3 If the RIU Class account holder does not wish to redeem their points for extras, they must inform hotel reception upon arrival or select their preference through the members’ area, in the section "My bookings", under the option "Request" at least 7 days in advance.
5.1.4 It is recommended that RIU Class members request their extras bill at reception when they check out of all their visits. Should the RIU Class member wish to consult their "Points exchange" (CAN) or (CNJ_M) statement, they must directly contact the reception desk of the hotel where they have been staying.
5.1.5 The value of points that can be used to pay for extra expenses charged to the room will depend on the currency of the country where the hotel is located.
The points have the following values:

5.1.6 These are identified in the points statement as "Points exchange" (CAN) or (CNJ_M)
5.2 For RIU Class direct bookings
5.2.1 The RIU Class account holder will be able to redeem their available points for "RIU Class direct bookings", with a maximum discount to be applied to the stay and depending on the account category:
- RIU Class Pre-Classic: up to 10% off, except for "RIU Class member rates" (3.4.7.d), where up to 5% off may be applied.
- RIU Class Classic: up to 15% off, except for "RIU Class member rates" (3.4.7.d), where up to 10% off may be applied.
- RIU Class Gold: up to 100% off.
- RIU Class Diamond: up to 100% off.
Points exchanges are not compatible with the use of a promocode.
For the redemption of points in "RIU Class direct bookings" the currency of the contract will be taken into account:

5.2.2 Points used ("Redeem points for stays" EST) in "RIU Class direct bookings" will remain blocked in the cardholder’s account and will not be able to be exchanged for other items
5.2.3 Should a "RIU Class direct booking" be cancelled, the corresponding cancellation or no-show policy will apply. Restrictions will apply in the event of using a special “Exclusive credit points” (WRC) promotion, as indicated in point 4.5.b.

5.3 With partners
5.3.1 The RIU Class account holder will be able to redeem their points for items purchased in the online RIU Shop www.riushop.com.
5.3.2 10 points are worth €0.125 for payment with partners
6. Registration of stays
6.1 Registering past stays
6.1.1 The RIU Class cardholder can register their stays in their account through the members’ area, from the date of registration onto the program and with a maximum of 12 months from the check-out date by filling in the "Points claim" form.
If the names and surname(s) of the RIU Class member match those on the booking, it will be automatically registered to the account. The points will be added to the available balance in the following 24 hours.
If the names and surnames of the RIU Class members do not match those on the booking, the cardholder must send a request and the RIU Class team will deal with the request as soon as possible. In the event that it is necessary, a copy of the agency voucher or confirmation will be requested, featuring the names of the RIU Class members, in order to register the stay on the account.
6.1.2 It is recommended that RIU Class members request their points statement from hotel reception on the day of check-out of each stay at our RIU hotels.
6.2 Registering future stays
6.2.1 The RIU Class cardholder can register their future stays in their account through the members’ area, from the date of registration onto the program by filling in the "Manage my future bookings" form.
If the names and surname(s) of the RIU Class member match those on the booking, it will be automatically registered to the account. Points will become definite and added to the available balance in the 7 days following check-out.
If the names and surnames of the RIU Class members do not match those on the booking, the cardholder must send a request and the RIU Class team will deal with the request as soon as possible. In the event that it is necessary, a copy of the agency voucher or confirmation will be requested, featuring the names of the RIU Class members, in order to register the stay on the account.
6.2.2 Once the future stay is registered on the account, the RIU Class cardholder will be able to complete their check-in online through the members’ area.
6.2.3 If the future visit has not previously been registered on the account, the RIU Class cardholder must give their RIU Class account number to the hotel reception on the day of check-in.
6.2.4 It is recommended that RIU Class members request their points statement from hotel reception on the day of check-out of each stay at our RIU hotels.
7. RIU Class categories
The RIU Class program includes the following categories: RIU Class Pre Classic, RIU Class Classic, RIU Class Gold and RIU Class Diamond. RIU Class cardholders can download their e-card through the members’ area at www.riu.com. In the same way, they can enjoy all of the program’s benefits simply with their RIU Class account number.
7.1 RIU Class Pre Classic
Riu Class cardholders achieve the RIU Class Pre Classic category by completing the RIU Class registration form.
7.2 RIU Class Classic
Riu Class cardholders achieve the RIU Class Classic category by registering their first stay in their account after check-out.
7.3 RIU Class Gold
7.3.1. Achievement and maintenance
To achieve the RIU Class Gold category, the cardholder and beneficiaries over 18 registered to the account must have accomplished 30 nights each of stays contracted, paid for and accomplished in RIU hotels in a period of 24 consecutive months.
Once the cardholder has obtained this category for the first time, they will receive a unique RIU Class Gold Card in the cardholder’s name which will be sent to the postal address registered to the account, provided it is validated within the following 30 days of the date the category is obtained.
Membership to the category will be reviewed 24 months after having obtained it and to continue to maintain the RIU Class Gold category, the cardholder and beneficiaries over 18 registered to the account must have enjoyed 30 nights each of the stays contracted, paid for and accomplished at RIU hotels during this period.
The "only points” rates, as well as RIU Partner Club bookings, invitations, promotions, compensation vouchers or RIU Hotels & Resorts employee rates will not be considered in the calculations for obtaining or maintaining this category.
7.3.2 Gold category benefits
Riu Class Gold cardholders can enjoy the following additional benefits:
- Discount on "Riu Class direct bookings": the points exchange on these bookings obtains up to 100% of the discount, as indicated in point 5.2.
- Accumulation of points: "Points for holidays" (VAC) and/or "Additional points" (OFE) accumulate per night and per member registered on the account, multiplied by two.
- Requests from the private area: as indicated in point 3.1.
- Welcome gift: you receive a welcome gift once a year for a stay in a room at RIU hotels. If there are two RIU Class Gold account holders staying in the same room, only the first guest of the room will receive a welcome gift.
- Additional discount at the RIU Shop Online: guests obtain a 25% discount at the RIU Shop Online (riu-shop.com).
7.4 RIU Class Diamond
7.4.1 Achievement and maintenance
To achieve the RIU Class Diamond category, the cardholder and beneficiaries over 18 registered to the account must have accomplished 60 nights each of stays contracted, paid for and accomplished in RIU hotels in a period of 24 consecutive months.
Once the cardholder has obtained this category for the first time, they will receive a unique RIU Class Diamond card in the cardholder’s name which will be sent to the postal address registered to the account, provided it is validated within the following 30 days of the date the category is obtained.
Membership to the category will be reviewed 24 months after having obtained it and to continue to maintain the RIU Class Diamond category, the cardholder and beneficiaries over 18 registered to the account must have enjoyed 60 nights each of the stays contracted, paid for and accomplished at RIU hotels during this period.

- Welcome gift: you receive a welcome gift once a year for a stay in a room at RIU hotels. If there are two RIU Class Diamond account holders staying in the same room, only the first guest of the room will receive a welcome gift.
- Additional discount at the RIU Shop Online: guests obtain a 35% discount at the RIU Shop Online (riu-shop.com).
8. Requesting a duplicate RIU Class card
RIU Class members that wish to request a duplicate RIU Class plastic card can do so, exceptionally, for 250 points. To do so, they must send an email to [email protected] authorising the charge of 250 points to the account and confirming the postal address to which the physical card should be sent.
9. Expiry of point and cancellation of RIU Class accounts
9.1 Points in RIU Class accounts that do not register activity for a period of over four years shall automatically expire without prior notice. Previously expired points will not be returned.
9.2 RIU Class accounts that do not register activity for a period of over four years shall automatically be deleted without prior notice. The RIU Class cardholder shall maintain their card number, which may be reactivated by logging into the members’ area or during their next visit to a RIU hotel.
