Hotel Riu Plaza Guadalajara

Second stay at Riu Guadalajara (5 nights). Front desk, room service, and housekeeping were consistently polite and welcoming great job there! The outdoor staff, however, needs attention. Every time I arrived by taxi (including my first day), the bellboys stood congregating nearby and never opened the car door or offered to help with luggage. I had to haul everything to the front desk myself. This happened on every outing. A simple door open and warm welcome would make a big difference. Hoping management addresses this so the arrival experience matches the rest of the hospitality.

We stayed here as a family for 5 nights (me, my wife and our 3 year old daughter). Overall a good hotel. Rooms were spacious and well lit, room cleaning was good every day, we felt safe and breakfast was lavish. As an Indian vegetarian family we had a few issues with the food though. There were some vegetarian options but having more would have made breakfast a lot more appealing for us. Also the tongs and serving utensils for veg and non veg dishes were not kept separate, which we had to deal with every morning. Separate utensils would make a big difference for vegetarian guests. Lastly the bathtub, and this part is important. It was very very slippery. Me, my wife and my toddler all slipped at some point during our stay. There was a bathmat for the tub but it was just as slippery. This is an accident waiting to happen, especially for families with kids or older guests. Please put proper anti slip mats or strips in the tubs. Would stay again if the bathtub is fixed.
