Hotel Riu Palace Punta Cana

Absolutely beautiful place, you can understand of why they called it a palace, it's huge. Service was on point, Anything you needed they would adhere to. Would recommend anyone to go. Food was great. Beach was at the end of the resort so you didn't have to come of the complex to visit a beach, and was amazing very clean and clear waters, no seaweed.

Extremely disappointing experience at RIU Palace Punta Cana. Unfortunately, this resort did not meet our expectations in almost any aspect. From the beginning, we encountered dirty buffet areas and bathrooms, consistently poor customer service, and staff who often seemed dismissive and uninterested in helping guests. Even basic requests, such as correcting a housekeeping mistake, were handled with little care. What was most upsetting was becoming ill from the food served in the hotel during our stay while pregnant. My husband also became sick. When I approached the front desk early in the morning asking for assistance accessing the resort’s advertised 24/7 medical clinic, I was essentially told to walk 10 minutes in the dark or pay for a taxi. I was also informed that medical care would be at my own expense. The lack of compassion and assistance in that situation was unacceptable. Even more concerning, on the day we were leaving, I witnessed another guest desperately trying to find a taxi because she had also become sick and needed medical attention. Seeing another guest in a similar situation only added to our frustration. To make matters worse, basic necessities are outrageously overpriced. I paid $15 for a bottle of Pedialyte at the resort pharmacy. I have stayed at another RIU property in Jamaica and had a much better experience in terms of food and hospitality. This property was a completely different experience. What makes matters worse is that I sent TWO emails to management expressing my concerns, and all I received were generic responses that did not meaningfully address any of the issues. I expected much better cleanliness, hospitality, customer care, and accountability. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property, and I would never return. Stay away from this place.
