Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin

It completely bewilders me how people can fail to give this hotel a minimum of 4 stars and for me it’s 5 stars every time. I have travelled to Ireland nearly every year for the past 45 years and stayed at hotels all over Ireland and Dublin and this hotel is the best. Located in the heart of O’Connell Street, built in 1817 and completely surrounded by real Irish history (if you care to look) and has seen major events such a the Easter Rising, the Great Dublin Lock out, the War of independence and the Irish Cilvil and the Battle Dublin in 1922. Easy walking to wherever you want to go and was recently completely refurbished to a very high standard. Hence why I stayed her again this year as after my great experience last year. For sure Dublin has chance drastically over the past 10 years but the Gresham remains the same, reliable and just fantastic. I challenge anyone to tell me where you will find a better breakfast in Dublin with a huge range of items to suit everyone. I only have 1 complaint, please take those “Reserved” signs off the tables it is confusing for everyone when you actually mean “table available”. But hey, if thats the only thing to complain about here you are doing OK. Many congratulations to all the management and staff who do a brilliant job and thank you all of looking after me all week. I shall return.
