Hotel Riu Funana 5*

Location has good and bad sides. The good ones are: further from the city, so less locals and more peaceful. The bad sides: a bit far from the beach, you need to go through the whole Riu hotel complex, and around 40 min walk to the city (5mins by taxi). The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. The rooms are clean, however the AC could be better and more often cleaned. A downside of the rooms is the lack of doors to the bathroom area. Also, the small lizards can get into the room. The noise depends on the part of the hotel you have the room in. Our room was far away from the stage and club area so we were not bothered. The service is nice and helpful. Always saying good morning and being polite. The thing I liked the most are attractions within the hotel area. All the evening events, including live music, dancing and karaoke were really entertaining. However, when there is a schedule for events, like volleyball, it would be nice if they started at that time and not started looking for people.

We absolutely loved our 11-day stay at RIU Funana! The biggest highlight was the crystal-clear beach, where we spent every day enjoying the beautiful turquoise water and stunning surroundings. A huge thank you to all the staff who worked so hard to make our holiday special. From the restaurant and bar teams to housekeeping and everyone working behind the scenes, their dedication, friendliness, and hard work deserve real recognition. We all look for something different when we go on holiday, but for us, it was about relaxing, enjoying the beautiful beach, and feeling welcomed. RIU Funana gave us exactly that! We returned home with wonderful memories and a little sadness that our 11 days were over. Thank you to the entire team for making our holiday so special. We would happily come back!
