Hotel Riu Negril 5*

Overall, we had a lovely holiday, but there were several areas that could be improved. When we arrived, we noticed other guests were being given spare blankets, but we weren't offered one. On entering the room, we also found sand on the floor, the TV remote wasn't working, and there was no shower gel or toothpaste provided. Thankfully, I had brought my own toiletries. The room itself was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, a lovely balcony, and a beautiful bathroom. I also liked that there was a mini fridge which was restocked with drinks every three days. The location of the Riu hotel was quite isolated and not within walking distance of any shops. I had to take a taxi to buy gifts and a few essentials to bring back for close relatives. It would have been useful to have more amenities nearby or clearer information about this before travelling. Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment. I was born in Jamaica, so I was really looking forward to authentic Jamaican cuisine. While there was a good variety of food available, it didn't feel authentic in my opinion. The meat was often tough, and the flavours seemed toned down to cater more for foreign tourists rather than showcasing real Jamaican cuisine. I ate what I could, but the food simply wasn't to my taste. The entertainment team were absolutely fantastic. They worked incredibly hard, keeping guests entertained throughout the day and every evening. I honestly don't know where they found the energy! They really helped make the holiday enjoyable. As we were all-inclusive, the selection of drinks at the bars was excellent, and the bar staff were always friendly, welcoming, and smiling. The only other issue was with the TUI representative when I asked why my return coach transfer was different from the one we arrived on. I understand that the TUI reps don't arrange the transfers themselves, but the way my question was handled felt dismissive and unhelpful. A more polite and understanding response would have gone a long way. Although we still enjoyed our holiday, after spending over £3,000 I expected a higher standard of service. This was my third consecutive all-inclusive holiday booked through TUI, and I was disappointed that there was no loyalty offer or promotion for returning customers. Based on this experience, I will likely consider booking elsewhere for my next holiday.

Was the most corrupt hotel I’ve ever stayed in told my partner I was on cocaine the 2 staff that made them allegations were Raffaele and shadow which led to my partner changing seats on the return flight I ordered a urine sample drug test and was negative just to prove my innocence and their serious false allegations I would never ever go back to Jamaica because of this stay well away from this hotel
