Our experience at the RIU Hotel & Resort was truly beautiful. We chose to spend two weeks of our honeymoon here and, overall, we were very satisfied. However, there are some small aspects that, with a few adjustments, could make the experience even better.
Room cleanliness – 4/5
The room was cleaned daily: the bathroom, balcony, and floors were tidied up, the bed was made, and the drinks were restocked every two days. On some days, however, we did not find the room tidied up, and this also meant a lack of shower towels. We also noticed that more thorough cleaning, such as that of closets and doors, could be handled better.
Food – 5/5
Everything was truly very good! The buffet lacked nothing: from sweet to savory breakfast, from cold to hot drinks, we always found a great variety and different choices.
Staff – 5/5
The restaurant staff was always kind and helpful. They were attentive to our needs, ready to ask us if we needed anything, and never let us run out of water or other drinks at the table.
Franco Rosso – 5/5
A special note of merit goes to Nicole and Alice, two truly exceptional girls who were helpful, cheerful, and friendly with everyone. In the morning, they would come by the beach to chat with the guests and managed to create a wonderful group atmosphere, organizing walks along the beach and involving us in various activities, such as beach volleyball and many other games. They were also always present in the afternoon and evening, involving guests in the shows and organized activities. They were also invaluable in helping people with limited knowledge of the English language, collaborating with the reception manager to make communication easier.
A small note on our honeymoon: The only aspect that left us a bit puzzled concerns the so-called “wedding gift.” About a week after our arrival, at 9:00 PM, a small plate of fruit was brought to our room. We appreciated the gesture nonetheless, but we perhaps expected something a bit more special, considering it was our honeymoon. Furthermore, to receive this gift, we were required to provide our marriage certificate. That said, our experience at the RIU was very positive. We spent two beautiful weeks and would definitely return willingly… in fact, we are already thinking about it!
