"Underwhelming and Bland"
Room was t clean upon check in, hair(s) all over the shower. Toilet didn’t work, broken internals. Changed rooms. Elevators smelled horrible terrible like moldy, stale, damp air. Resort lacks true entertainment. Hardly any wait staff servicing the pools. Waterpark is closed on Mondays but not communicated to guests prior to check in. Just a sign zip-tided to the gates. Door is mediocre at best, very bland and the menus are the same EVERY day. No rotation, no flavor, very sloppy. Probably the worst all inclusive we have stayed at. Not to mention you are 30+ minutes or more from town to be able to venture out and do anything. Beach is not maintained or cleaned. The atmosphere is just sunshine and whatever drinks you can get yourself from the bar. Little to no waitstaff around any of the pools. It’s not an overly loud resort which was nice , but there is also little to no actual entertainment. Pools close at 7:30 every night. For the money I would stay at the RIU Palace next door. Their menus are way better, and it’s a much nicer resort and you can still access the waterpark.
"I would not return"
It's not all bad, there are some good things, but I will start with my complaints. I paid extra for an ocean view room. See picture of the view from my room (not even a small spec of ocean can be seen). When I went to the front desk to complain, they said that this room was facing the ocean and was technically a 'sea view' room, and they did not have any other rooms to give me. This is a complete rip-off. Not a great way to enjoy your vacation when you are expecting and paid for ocean views. The evening shows are very poor. I've seen descent shows at other all-inclusive resorts. Not here. The food is very mediocre. The buffet has a lot of options and some things are okay, some things are not. The evening restaurants are just so-so. The steakhouse is the best, BUT you have to make line before 6pm to get a table, and it is outdoors only. It is very uncomfortable to eat with the heat and humidity. The water park could be great, except that most of the water slides are poorly built. The slide sections are not coupled together tightly and so they hurt your back as you are sliding down, to the point where you are left with physical bruises and scratches on your back. Other than that, the hotel is nice, well kept, the rooms are nice, no issues there.
