Hotel Riu Dubai 4*

They have three specialty restaurants that require reservations, though these are essentially buffet-style venues offering largely the same food available in the main buffet. We reserved a table at the Japanese restaurant and were disappointed to find no Japanese beer or sake on offer. The main buffet was excellent—we thoroughly enjoyed it and found the food to be of high quality. The only shortcoming was the limited selection of fruits and vegetables (no bananas, strawberries, or similar options). I wish the pool had remained open later than 6 p.m. so we could have enjoyed it longer. On two occasions we had to call housekeeping back to re-sweep the floor, as it remained dirty—an inconvenience that detracted from the experience. Upon arrival we were also given a very wide wristband with sharp edges at the clasp; we repeatedly scratched ourselves on it with no practical way to avoid the issue. The servers throughout the resort were excellent—very helpful and always ready to assist! Overall, our stay was very enjoyable.

Just arrived back home having spent 7 nights at The RIU. I have stayed there before as a couple. This time we went with our daughter 10 year grandson. The staff are all very friendly. The hotel is spotless. The rooms are cleaned and served daily. There is a good selection of food and staff in the buffet area are very friendly and helpful. The pool staff are very nice and always looking after everyone making sure everyone is safe and sticking to the rules. It’s a great hotel for relaxing by the pool or beach. If you want to go site seeing there is always taxis available which a pretty cheap.
