Hotel Riu Plaza Miami Beach

My experience at this Miami hotel was extremely negative. The cleanliness of the rooms was insufficient and the general maintenance of the premises leaves much to be desired. The feeling is that of a poorly maintained property, far from the level of service that a guest should expect. The most serious fact concerns an incident that demonstrated a total lack of attention toward customers: during my stay, I no longer found a bag in my room containing some of my personal purchases. I immediately reported the incident to the Reception and to management, explaining the situation and requesting action. Despite the seriousness of the incident, I did not receive any concrete feedback: no solution and no gesture to show interest in the problem. A mistake can happen, but what distinguishes a serious establishment is the way it handles inconveniences. In this case, I encountered a total lack of professionalism and attention toward the guest. I also find it paradoxical that, to protect the property, a security deposit of 200 dollars per room is required, while when it is the guest who has a problem related to their personal belongings, the same attention and protection is not provided. A mistake can happen, but what distinguishes a serious establishment is the way it handles inconveniences. In this case, I encountered an evident lack of professionalism, communication, and attention toward the customer. An experience that does not reflect the standards expected from a hotel that welcomes international guests.

Complete hotel, with a good breakfast, amenities like a pool and gym (which I did not use). The stay included breakfast and dinner. They have a snack bar to drink and eat outside of hours, My suggestion is that they could have a dinner schedule more in line with ALL the passengers. They open at 6:30 PM and close at 10 PM, which for my stay was super early. The rest of the hotel functions very well. The front desk is super friendly, Spanish and English, and they resolve any issue for you. My room faced an internal street; the noise from the machinery that was there was very annoying and interrupted my rest. This is the second Riu I have visited. I do not think I will repeat this hotel.
