Hotel Riu Tikida Palmeraie 4*

A beautiful facility, but details that disappoint We stayed at the Riu Tikida Palmeraie in Marrakech and, overall, the hotel is very beautiful and pleasant, but when you look at the details, several points are unfortunately disappointing. Regarding the room, it is rather unattractive and would really deserve a refresh. The headboard is crumbling, some frames are not correctly placed, and the bathroom looks old-fashioned. We also noticed water coming out from under some tiles, as well as surfaces that would need to be renovated. For a hotel of this standing, one expects better. The catering Breakfast is decent, with a fairly satisfactory selection. On the other hand, regarding dinner, there is a lot to complain about. The dishes cruelly lack diversity and are practically the same every day. The most surprising thing remains the seasoning: we are in Morocco, a country renowned for its spices and its flavorful cuisine, and yet the dishes are extremely bland. Even the pasta is cooked without salt! It would be really appreciated to have more variety and to offer a rotation of dishes every two days. We were also surprised to see the cleaning staff sweeping the dining room floor while guests were eating. It is not necessarily very pleasant and it gives an impression that could easily be avoided by intervening before or after service. An impeccable welcome On the other hand, nothing to complain about regarding the welcome and the staff. The servers, the employees, and the entire staff are really very pleasant, smiling, and helpful. This is certainly one of the big positive points of our stay. If you are looking for peace and quiet, keep looking… Unfortunately, this is where our disappointment is the greatest. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing hotel, this is clearly not the ideal place. There are a huge number of activities, to the point of sometimes feeling like you are in a Club Med. The activity staff constantly asks guests to participate in activities. We perfectly understand their job and their enthusiasm, but on vacation, one might also want to stay quietly by the pool without being solicited repeatedly. The pool is also not really suitable for those looking for a quiet space for adults. There is clearly a lack of a quiet corner where one could simply relax. The evening music is pleasant overall, but it goes on very late and the noise can be really bothersome. For us, it was difficult to sleep before 2 a.m., which is quite problematic when you are coming on vacation specifically to rest. Our conclusion The Riu Tikida Palmeraie has many assets: a beautiful environment, excellent staff, and a dynamic atmosphere. However, between the rooms that could use a renovation, the dining that lacks variety and seasoning, as well as the numerous activities and the noise until late at night, our experience remains mixed. We therefore do not recommend this hotel to people who are primarily looking for calm, tranquility, and rest. On the other hand, if you like very lively hotels with lots of activities and atmosphere, it might suit you better. And let's not even talk about the Wi-Fi, it doesn't work well.

A memorable stay at the RIU Tikida Palmeraie We had a wonderful stay at the RIU Tikida Palmeraie in Marrakech, a hotel where we found everything we were looking for to spend a great family vacation. The hotel is very pleasant, the rooms are particularly spacious and comfortable, and the general atmosphere is warm. We also really appreciated the entertainment team, dynamic, smiling, and full of energy, who help create an excellent atmosphere both during the day and in the evening. We would like to thank the housekeepers and the entire team in charge of room maintenance. Always smiling, discreet, and attentive, they do remarkable work on a daily basis. What a pleasure to find a clean, neat, and perfectly maintained room every day. A big bravo also to all the cooks, who often work in the shadows but contribute enormously to the success of the stay. Thank you for the variety and quality of the dishes offered, as well as for all the work done every day. But what truly makes the difference at the RIU Tikida Palmeraie is, above all, the human quality of its staff. A very special mention to Lahcen, the waiter ❤️, present from the first day of our stay, always smiling, available, and very kind. Always helpful and attentive, with this sincere desire to please us, he contributed significantly to making our vacation even more beautiful. A very nice encounter that we will not forget and that we hope to find again during a future stay. We are leaving with very beautiful memories. We appreciated the spacious rooms, the cleanliness, the entertainment, the dining, the facilities, and the atmosphere, but what we will remember above all are all these people who work, sometimes in the shadows, so that vacationers have the best stay possible.
