"NOTHING LIKE ALL THE OTHER RIU RESORTS"
This is a 3 star resort at best. It is an old resort that had been renovated by RIU. The renovation was minimal… they kept king size headboard to make double bed, but the headboard is not covering both beds. One of rooms, every time the door open a ceiling panel would flap up. The food was good. The service people were not friendly. The night time entertainment was okay. Overall, my group just made due with the reservation , but we will not go back again. And I am surprised the RIU company is letting this one resort be so different and outdated as their other resorts. Finally, if you are looking for the luxury feel of your resort vacation, this RIU is NOT the place . It is an old renovated property. The renovation is not good .
"Would not return"
This is not a resort . It is a basic hotel on a really nice beach . Food was awful . It advertised “ 24 hr all inclusive food “ . This means fold-over ham & cheese sandwiches , chips & cheese , pizza & cookies . “Coffee shop “ opened at 10 AM . There is no gift shop / sundry item store on the property . Specialty dining meant you could pick from 3 things on the menu . No real choices . Buffet was awful . This is not the typical all-inclusive resort like you would want .
