Hotel Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas

21 year anniversary with spouse including having some friends tagging along. R&R after 3 long quarters if work.

we took an uber from the cruise dock -- we did 2 days at riu while we were docked for 3 days on the cruise ship. It was a great change of pace -- loved the facility right on the beach. Rooms were big we got the jr suite garden view adjoining rooms - the garden view was great saw all the pools and view of the ocean. The AC works for sure cold loved that when its 95 outside. All fridge and etc stocked as advertised and kept it stocked. All inclusive didn't pay for anything extra. Had access to the Sante Fe RIU next door - restaurants and etc -- Food for lunch at the San Jose was great -- the only thing I would say on the food all was good but you best go when they open because seems like once the bowl of stuff ran out it was out. We ate at the Krystal for steak very nice place but we liked the food at San Jose best - lunch they do a lobster ravoli and you can get extra lobster tails. Great seafood salad too. Coffee shops were great -- bars were great -- pool side bartenders were great. I only wish I would have gotten a burger at the pool side grill smelled so good. Right on the beach -- remember the ocean is really not swimmable due to the current but it didn't matter the beach was great and the pools were large and roomy. I recommend if you are on a cabo cruise and stops for 3 days check out and get a room here for a change of pace.
