Hotel Riu Caribe 5*

Extremely unpleasant experience at Riu Caribe My intention was to check out Riu Caribe before deciding where to stay. I went to the reception and politely asked if it would be possible to briefly see some areas of the hotel. I was informed that it was not allowed and I respected the decision. The problem was the way the situation was handled. The employee was extremely rude and, after I tried to explain my request, called security. We were escorted out of the reception, in an extremely embarrassing situation, with the feeling that we were practically being kicked out of the hotel. I do not question the hotel's right to restrict access to its facilities. What I consider inadequate was the way we were treated. A simple explanation would have been enough. This experience directly influenced my trip. My intention was to transfer to the Riu Caribe, but after what happened, I gave up and stayed several days in another hotel. I even came to consider not staying in any RIU chain hotel. Later, I decided to give the brand another chance and stayed at the Riu Cancun, where I had a better experience. A situation like this can make a client give up on a hosting or even rethink their choice of the network. In my case, this directly reduced the number of nights I could have spent in RIU hotels. I hope the administration analyzes this episode, because a customer's experience is not built only by the facilities, but also by the way they are received and treated.

Went here for my bachelor party for 5 days. I will start off by saying the service was great and everyone was very friendly, that is about the only thing i can say was actually good. The food was very limited and almost everything we tried was absolutely terrible. The breakfast was so bad and the only thing that was okay was the bacon. This was my first time staying at a Riu hotel but i feel i was very mislead with the “party aspect” that this property advertises. There was absolutely no music at the pools the dj pool is closed the entire time and only open for a couple hours when they have themed night “parties.” We tried the white party and the dj was terrible it was like house edm music for 2 hours straight and not one person was in the pool, this definitely wasn’t a party resort and i’ve been to other resorts where they are way more interactive with the guest and want to make it a party when you’re in the pool and have music playing. The shows they have donoe even have a theme, just a bunch of people jumping around on stage. On top of everything there is 0 room service. This place just was not it and i will never stay at another riu again.
