Great hotel. Excellent food. Clean and spacious rooms. Highly recommended. I will definitely return someday.

As an ex-hotel manager, having just returned from a week at this hotel, the positives - The hotel and grounds are amazing at 1st glance. The gardeners work hard and don't get the credit that they are due the hotel is starting to show signs of aging and does need invested in. The A la carte restaurants (all 3 of) were 1st class - Great food and service. The main restaurant is good for Breakfast and lunch, but dinner was limited and repetitive. Good international drinks brands were plentiful. The rooms are the best we have stayed in, in terms of size and cleanliness - Credit to housekeeping. However, the hotel is let down by the following - The cleanliness around the pool is very poor. Coming down to get a sun bed at 7am to be met with rubbish and drinks from the previous day on the ground, around the sun beds is not acceptable for a hotel of this rating. The swim up pool is not clean and slimy. You can see the oils and lotions on the water surface from bathers using the pool. We did not see the pool getting cleaned during our stay, The sun beds are old, worn and torn and need replaced. The pool towels are past their best and when we wanted to change them during the day on one day could not as they did not have enough stock. On our last day we paid for a last check out for 5pm. At 12.30pm we returned to our room before lunch and the toilet was in bits as their technical team were working on it. Thinking that this would be fixed we retuned at 3.30pm to shower before leaving to be met with the toilet still in bits. On complaining to a manager called Esha at reception it was fixed within 1/2 hr but impacted our time / stress to shower and enjoy our last hour. I requested a partial refund for the lack of services available and what we paid for to be met with "I can’t do that" and you can check out at 6pm - No use to us as we had returned for the day to prepare from travelling home as we were leaving. To pay 1200 Dirhams (£100) is not worth it. Overall management need to address the points highlighted and engage in supporting their guest issues and not taking them for granted!
