"standards have severely dropped"
Disappointing return visit—standards have severely dropped since 2022I stayed here for New Year’s Eve 2022 going into 2023, and the service back then was so incredible that I decided to return this August with my family. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different this time, and the standards have dropped significantly.First, the infrastructure and facilities were not as clean as they used to be. However, the most disappointing part of our stay was the service. The staff at the main restaurant were rude and showed clear favoritism. We noticed they provided table service and special privileges to certain guests while ignoring others.Furthermore, the tone and French language used by some of the staff members came across as very rude and discriminatory. It is deeply upsetting to see a resort we previously loved treat guests this way. I expected much better from a RIU Palace property and cannot recommend it based on this recent experience.
"Great hotel, food needs some work"
Probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing hotels to visit. People waking up and getting beds and never using them is annoying. We found beds everyday but watching people turn up a 4pm is not on. Food was ok in main restaurant and steakhouse was good but a bit weird set up. Didn’t use the other 2 restaurants as menu needs to be a little better. Rooms were massive, service was great and very clean hotel. The pool has some broken bits and lights hanging off so we saw some people with bleeding feet. Pool beds are ok but all need to be replaced. Would be good to clean the poolside at the end of the day rather than the morning when people are trying to relax.
