Hotel Riu Palace Jandia

We stayed at the Riu Palace Jandia between 3rd October and 14th October 2026 and the experience was amazing. We booked a sea view room with Tui but before leaving I sent an email with a photo to the hotel reception showing our preferred room location. When we arrived we found we had been allocated room 4113 which was perfect. The reception manager had arranged this so I must say thank you. For us the whole experience as perfect. The hotel location is right on the most beautiful beach, and is very quiet at night. Our room was spotlessly clean and the views were perfect. The buffet restaurant could not have been better. The food was of the highest quality with a wide selection on offer. The staff in the restaurant are extremely friendly and helpful. After each evening meal we spent a short time at the pool bar having a drink and watching the entertainment, thoroughly enjoyable. The staff at the bar even remembered our favourate drinks and received us with a welcome smile each evening. On departure day we were being collected at 4pm so we stayed by the pool until 3pm and used the courtesy room to get showered and changed. Very helpful. The Riu Palace Jandia has set the benchmark for our future holidays and we will certainly be back.

Very large hotel with a very illogical layout. To reach the room from the reception or pool, 2 elevators are needed in different places with a long, uninviting and windy corridor with many stairs in between. Too little green; everything is paved to let everyone sunbathe. No cappuccino included with breakfast (everyone gets standard percolator coffee), what you would expect at a 5-star hotel. Always being addressed in German, German songs in the evening. A very strong feeling of mass tourism. No possibility to shower upon departure because the shower room was occupied. Too few toilets, and too far to have to go to the room for it. Never again!
