"Gran Canaria The Sequel"
Second visit in 2 years to Gran Canaria having stayed at Riu Palace Meloneras last year (out of school holiday time). Hotel was excellent and spotlessly clean. Views of the dunes from the room was spectacular. For us though the outside space and area immediately outside the hotel was better at Meloneras.

I have been a regular guest at the RIU Palace Maspalomas for many years – and even after numerous stays, this hotel manages to exceed my expectations time and time again. As I write this review, I am currently enjoying my stay here once again. That alone really speaks for itself. What's more: Even while on vacation, I have already booked my next stay for September as well as my New Year's vacation. It is hard to pay a hotel a greater compliment than that. I have been traveling for many years and have gotten to know numerous upscale hotels all over the world. For me, the RIU Palace Maspalomas belongs without any reservation to the absolute top class. As a frequent traveler, I especially appreciate a warm atmosphere. That is exactly what makes this hotel so extraordinary: From the first moment on, you feel welcome. The friendliness and attentiveness of all staff members are remarkable. Whether at the reception, in the restaurant, at the bars, in housekeeping, or in garden maintenance – everywhere you encounter people who practice their profession with passion and give guests the feeling of being truly valued. The kitchen deserves a very special compliment. The quality, freshness, variety, and presentation of the dishes are at a level that I have rarely experienced even in many international luxury hotels. Every day is a culinary experience. Equally impressive are the beautifully maintained pool area, the spacious pool areas, and the unique location right by the dunes of Maspalomas. Here you will find peace, relaxation, and an ambiance that is second to none. A heartfelt thank you goes to the entire hotel management. A hotel of this exceptional quality does not come about by chance. Behind it are the highest quality standards, excellent organization, and above all, a team that lives hospitality in an impressive way. I am already looking forward to my stay in September 2026 and to the trip for New Year's Eve. For me, it is certain: The RIU Palace Maspalomas is not only my favorite hotel on Gran Canaria, but one of the best hotels I have had the pleasure of getting to know worldwide.
