RIU has included a new whistleblowing channel on www.riu.com to provide all employees and stakeholders with a secure, confidential and anonymous means to report any ethical violations or illegal acts they may have witnessed.
The whistleblowing channel can be accessed via the link at the bottom left of the home page in the “About RIU” section and allows the company to fulfil Spanish Law 3/2023, of 20 February, regulating the protection of persons who report regulatory infringements and the fight against corruption.
RIU is committed to ensuring that its organisational culture is based on integrity and transparency. In line with these core values, the whistleblowing channel will give employees and stakeholders the chance to confidentially and anonymously raise and report any concerns they may have.
RIU will take all the necessary steps to ensure that those who submit and share information legitimately and in good faith do not suffer any retaliation or negative consequences. The new whistleblowing channel will also allow RIU to quickly investigate and address any issues that may arise within the organisation. The chain is committed to taking appropriate action to resolve complaints in a fair and timely manner, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
By implementing this whistleblowing channel, RIU is reaffirming its commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment where everybody has the chance to perform and grow in a fair environment.
