The hotel chain achieved a milestone of 100% local management across its properties, recorded 28,679.9 million Cape Verdean escudos in revenue, and allocated 40.2 million CVE to its sustainability strategy, 'Proudly Committed'.

The commitment of RIU Hotels & Resorts to developing local talent reached a historic milestone in 2025: 100% of department head positions in Cape Verde are held by local professionals. This figure encompasses 225 leadership roles, further bolstered by the appointment of two new Cape Verdean assistant managers on the islands of Sal and Boa Vista.
Currently, the hotel group boasts a workforce of 3,444 employees across the archipelago, of which 3,100 are Cape Verdean collaborators, bringing the local employment rate to 90% of the total staff. The payroll and social contributions generated represented a direct investment of 1.9 billion Cape Verdean escudos (CVE) in the country's families.

During her speech, Naomi Riu, Chief Financial Officer of RIU, highlighted that Cape Verde accounts for nearly 10% of the chain's global room inventory, featuring a total of 4,649 rooms distributed across six hotels (three on Sal Island and three on Boa Vista Island). In 2025, these properties welcomed 396,785 guests.
Regarding financial performance, the hotel company generated 28,679.9 million CVE in revenue, representing a year-on-year growth of nearly 8%. The direct and indirect tax contribution rose to 5,600 million CVE (+13.2%), while expenditure on purchases and services from local suppliers reached 9,300 million CVE. Furthermore, 512.4 million CVE were allocated to infrastructure improvements.

In the healthcare sector, the early detection campaign +Saúde +Mulher Cabo Verde stands out, executed in partnership with Africa Avanza and the INSP. Furthermore, the Consultorio Solidario de Saúde Infantil (CSSI) in Sal recorded 8,691 medical consultations, providing care to 3,897 children.
- Women's cancer prevention: 389 HPV tests performed, with 94 positive cases (24.2%) and 32 women successfully treated.The 78.8% of patients were between 25 and 45 years of age.
- Pediatric care by age group: We attended to 2,338 children aged 0 to 5, 1,169 aged 6 to 10, and 390 aged 11 to 14.
- Pediatric medical prevalence: Respiratory conditions (25%), infectious/parasitic diseases (24%), and dermatological issues (17%).
- Specialized referrals: 1,127 minors referred (185 to ophthalmology, 166 to otolaryngology, 156 to dentistry, 84 to the local hospital, and 536 to other specialties, including 88 surgical procedures).
