RIU Hotels & Resorts has obtained
AENOR’s Certification of compliance management system, in accordance with the UNE 19601 standard. This certificate recognises the implementation of an internal management system to prevent crimes within the company by monitoring, analysing risks, identifying the most exposed positions and functions and ensuring that all members of the company are committed to acting in accordance with RIU's
Compliance Policy and
Code of Ethics, which is based on the principles of integrity, honesty and transparency.

The certification is the result of over a year of work in which all of RIU's corporate departments joined forces to take part in the thorough audit conducted by Monlex as an external advisor, in coordination with the internal legal department.
RIU believes that this certification is yet another step towards excellent business management as it translates the commitment of RIU’s professionals to the values that have always characterised their work into an audited policy. It is also a key element that reinforces the brand’s prestige and the confidence it instils in all its partners, employees and customers. All of this is backed by the demanding requirements of the UNE 19601 standard and AENOR’s prestige as the leading certification body in Spain.
