Hotel Riu Lupita 5*

Me an my husband went 20th sept till thurs 1st oct, its a lovely hotel an grounds are beautifull. We stayed on ground floor by the enterance which was good for access to places easy. The recption was friendly an helpfull an checked us in quick with a free drink. The rooms are dated an do need upgrade. Could benift from some comfy chairs, an new pillows as to thin. Becarefull with the tables an bedside cabinets as the glass top is not surcure. The food was plenty but most was cold or lukewarm an was repeated alot. The app didnt work propley so couldnt book steakhouse which does close some days. Never went italian, an try the mexican but said were full but had about 3 or 4 tables empty. An cant pre book a tables. The staff are lovely an friendly an do relie on tips but dont have tip if dont want to. The shuttle bus to beach an 5th ave was fine an comftable an does run on the time schudle . We did love mexico but if go back would be for day of the dead an prob stay round 5th ave

Stayed at this hotel for the past 2 weeks. The reception was fine, we later saw that every guest was offered a drink. We didn't, but that wasn't a big problem. It's those little things that don't make this hotel exceptionally good. Our room was on the 1st floor. We were warned about the coatis. Keep the balcony door open then they will come in like this and the fridge is open like this. We saw them walking around the complex quite quickly. The room was neat, the cleaning was great. The room is quite outdated. For the price we paid, I was a little disappointed. They also neatly emptied the liquor cabinet at my request. In the fridge we got every 2 days: spa, water, cola and 7-up. We found the food quite good. No cold dishes, but everything diverse and tasty. I was also surprised that people had comments on this. Really just fine. Entertainment was also fine. You had the option to lie by a quiet pool and you wouldn't hear much, the large pool was a bit busier. Once a week a foam party by the pool, really fun for the kids! I mentioned the badger earlier and that is my major point of criticism. Because these critters eat and (yes, really) drink, and then I also get the alcoholic ones, they are getting more and more aggressive. A local AA meeting would not be missed by the critters. A fellow vacationer speaking delivers a: oh yes, but that's pitiful and so they get something. People, these animals have enough food in nature!! Stop this! (People, the nosebears have enough food in nature, STOP FEEDING THEM!!!) So, also in English because the Spaniards, Germans, French and British. These gave as far as I could see the animals the most to eat. It is also going to become a serious problem for the hotel, they are already with many and have sharp teeth. It is waiting for the first bite, diseases and big problems so hotel: Do something about this! Yes, they are protected, but if you keep going like this, you won't have any guests anymore. (I also mentioned this several times to the hotel, only the shoulders are picked up..) Yes, then I don't know anymore either) The shuttle bus that runs between the hotel, city center, and beach is ideal. The van is proverbially hanging by a thread from antiquity, but it drives ;-) Furthermore, we ate at the steakhouse once, and it was really delicious. The hotel is fine for a stay otherwise, provided they really lower the prices because 5 stars should and can be given for this Riu hotel only for the food. The rest is a luxury 3 star and no more.
