Hotel Riu Playacar 5*

Superb, magnificent hotel, ideally located, super kind staff (thanks to Jaime at the front desk), excellent food, cleanliness of the rooms, dynamic entertainment (Félix, Julio, Carla...), hotel less noisy and more family-oriented than the Riu Tequila. Areas for improvement 😀: - offer sweet food at the snack bar, especially for snack time - uneven quality of the shows from one night to the next - cleanliness of the pool to be improved (presence of hair, discoloration of certain clothes). Thanks to all the hotel staff for their dedication to the guests.

I stayed at this hotel for a few days and was very impressed. The friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of both the common areas and the rooms were predominant factors in this review of mine. Regarding the hotel's location, I found it great. It is outside the confusion, about 25/30 minutes walk from Playa del Carmen, which allows you to visit the city without the confusion of being there constantly. The location is great because it is close to several theme parks in that area, such as Xcaret and Xplore. The animation at the hotel, which is in charge of a dedicated team, was constant and appropriate, so I leave here thanks to all of them, especially Carla Ya and Benny. Downsides: The air conditioner in the room was a little noisy. When it was activated, it sounded good. The hotel is recommended to update to a quieter system. The format of the main pools (3) is very unappealing. Too rectangular. The existing space allowed for a more organic form and even for them to be all connected.
