Hotel Riu Plaza Manhattan Times Square

Absolutely loved this hotel. All the staff were amazing, rooms and hotel were spotless, breakfast was plentiful and location was perfect for us. Spent 4 days in New York and we will definitely stay here again

The hotel is okay for a city hotel. Rooms are spacious, bathroom very nice, view great and location perfect! We never had to take the subway the first few days and were able to get around on foot. The staff members are very friendly and accommodating. There was a fire alarm once, which is probably not unusual with so many hotel guests. The biggest minus point, however, is the breakfast!! We only decided to add it upon arrival, which was a mistake. First, you have to take the elevator to the lobby to be herded through barriers and then squeezed back into the elevator to go to the fifth floor. Once you arrive there, you are herded through again and if you are unlucky, you even have to wait for a table. But once you finally have a table, the breakfast isn't good either. The coffee tastes like water. The bread doesn't taste good untoasted. And the scrambled eggs are pure chemistry. The fruit is mostly okay. Too bad, we had expected more.
