Hotel Riu Emerald Bay 5*

We stayed at the Riu Mazatlan for a three-night vacation to celebrate a friend's birthday. It turned out to be great value for the money, especially in terms of room amenities and service. The room had a great view, and we didn't mind the noise from the afternoon bands at the beach. Everyone on the staff, including chef Jonathan, was extremely friendly and ready to help - with minor room issues, special food orders, and so on. Overall, the buffet food was very good in terms of quantity and variety, but not so great in terms of quality for some of the ingredients - something that was not surprising since this is a common issue with all-inclusives around the globe. The four swimming pools got crowded quickly during the day, a testament to the popularity of the resort. Taking the local bus from outside the resort to go to the center of Mazatlan proved to be an easy and inexpensive option. All in all though, a great stay.

Excellent, the best hotel in Mazatlan, my favorite place. Honestly, it is excellent, the service is always the same, always. Gerardo Santos, the waiter, provides us with excellent service. A thousand thanks, Riu.
