Hotel Riu Concordia 4*

Booked the holiday through Jet2 and stayed at the RIU Concordia, Playa de Palma for one week. The hotel is excellent, with great food, well appointed clean rooms and polite helpful staff. But.....what Jet2 fail to state is the hotel is close to 2 German beer kellers which are operating from lunchtime to the early hours of the morning. The area is not Spanish at all, so if you're after the tapas experience look elsewhere. Think of the area as Cologne, Frankfurt or Berlin by the sea. The other issue we had to contend with was rowdy guests returning to their rooms in the early hours of the morning thinking it was acceptable to shout and sing as loud as possible. You have been warned. This did take the shine off the holiday as the beach and promenade are great, and the bus to Palma at 2 Euros is great value. Just a note of caution with the bus. When it's busy you're better walking back to the Cathedral where you first get dropped off to catch the bus back, as you could be waiting a long time in the city and the bus may already be full.

The hotel met our expectations. The room was spacious and the beds were truly comfortable and large. The buffet breakfast was varied. Cleaning not always satisfactory and the three elevators often crowded and slow. The staff was always very friendly
