"DISAPPOINTMENT"
The experience has not been very pleasant. We are leaving disappointed. We had a problem with food allergens. THEY ARE NOT LABELED! When we asked the staff, they indicated that we should speak with Management, who very kindly assisted us; however, the response of "nothing is going to happen, enjoy your vacation" was not the most appropriate. It is an important topic, too important to treat with such frivolity. If you have any allergies / intolerances... BE CAREFUL!! It is very oriented toward the foreign guest. If you are not Spanish, congratulations, this is your hotel! The rules are not for you. You will be able to enjoy yourself and do whatever you want. On the other hand, if you are a national guest... To top it off, at our check-out, we requested to store our suitcases and stay a little longer in the facilities until our train left, and we were only able to store the suitcases; the facilities/services end at 12:00. We stayed in the lobby sitting quietly without bothering anyone... Watching how the rest of the guests could indeed enjoy a glass of water/soda, even towels to go to the pool... at their check-out (we coincided with different guests). It is ugly... During our stay, we were able to see how people were in the pools with glass cups, giant air mattresses and inflatables that made it impossible to enjoy the pool, reserving lounge chairs, food thrown in the dining room without being picked up, the ice cream area always dirty and poorly stocked, few staff members who cannot keep up with cleaning, restocking... Regarding the pool towels, you can only change them from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in a specific area; before or after, forget about it. If yours gets dirty or wet, it is not allowed until that time. Anyway, it is a very basic hotel, ideal for foreigners. GOOD PART: - Good location - Spacious rooms - Lobby and room were clean BAD PART - Not suitable for those with food allergies - Slippery floor - Repetitive buffet and no signage
"Enjoyable Stay"
I was really worried reading the 1 star reviews, however the hotel is well maintained, extremely clean and pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade on arrival. A choice of pools with a quieter pool being available at the back of the hotel. Make sure that you visit Mijas and Malaga as made our holiday. The C1 train from La Colina perfect and cheap for travelling around. Food is what you expect for an all inclusive lots of choice but does get repetitive after a few days or so. If you have booked this hotel there is nothing to dislike and hotel staff always very pleasant. Lots to do outside of hotel and lots of restaurants. Thank you Riu for a lovely holiday x
