"GO TO A RIU IN THE CARIBBEAN"
My 4th experience at a RIU and without a doubt the worst, and what a coincidence that it's the only one I've been to in Spain.
-Rooms, very complete, very clean but with hardly any outlets; what do we need the USBs for? They are all type C now.
-The food? The dinner, a very buffet-style meal, is very far from other RIUs I've been to; for being a Palace, it is very far from the Tequila, Playacar, and Palace Boavista where I have stayed; the breakfasts are always, always the same, and there isn't even a cook making you an omelet to order, which they have in all the hotels. The same for lunch, someone making you meat on the spot or something. And the thing about the themed restaurants... pathetic, there is only one and with 15 tables, and to top it off, they only let you go once during your stay.
-Practically nonexistent entertainment, and very, very poor at night.
-As I said, this hotel is light-years away from any Caribbean-style RIU, and on top of that, there is no all-inclusive option; the drinks are extremely expensive, just outrageous.
-THE BEST PART IS THE STAFF; they hold the hotel together and are great professionals, always with a smile on their faces and very polite, especially Patricio, Mohamed, and any of the waiters, as well as Joel the bellhop, to whom I gave a rude response on the first day that he didn't deserve, and who later helped me in every way possible.
-By the way, an older male cook with white hair and glasses gave a pathetic response to a young female cook when she asked him for permission to go to the bathroom; poor girl, him telling her, "This is not the time to go to the bathroom," what a shame, honestly.
-THIS CHAIN HAS A LOT TO IMPROVE IN SPAIN. FOR THAT PRICE, CARIBBEAN ALL-INCLUSIVE.
