This renovation has led to the elevation of the establishment to the Riu Palace category, becoming the first hotel of this premium line in the Iberian Peninsula, with a focus on luminosity, gourmet gastronomy, and sustainability.
What changes does the new Lobby of the Riu Palace Nautilus?
In this new stage, we wanted the Mediterranean Sea to be the protagonist from the very first second. For this reason, the lobby has been completely redesigned to maximise the entry of natural light.
By using materials that favour clarity and open spaces, at RIU we have achieved that the transition between the Torremolinos promenade and the hotel’s interior is almost invisible. Now, you can enjoy direct panoramic sea views as soon as you check in.
What are the new rooms and their contemporary design like?
For us, your rest is the absolute priority. All rooms have been renovated with a timeless aesthetic and a palette of neutral colours that convey serenity.
In addition to the aesthetic update, we have reinforced our commitment to tourism accessibility. In this renovation, we have increased to eleven the number of adapted rooms for people with reduced mobility, ensuring that the comfort of the Palace line reaches all our guests.

The culinary offer has made a significant qualitative leap. Not only have we renovated the main restaurant, expanding the lounge and terrace to improve the experience of outdoor dining, but we have also introduced a new concept.
The big news is the opening of the Krystal restaurant. This space offers an à la carte gourmet proposal, designed for those seeking a more sophisticated and exclusive dinner during their stay on the Costa del Sol.
