The Riu Madeira hotel, located on the seafront in Praia, Portugal, has reopened its doors after a complete refurbishment. Thanks to this makeover, the 4-star hotel, with 24h all-inclusive service, has kicked off the summer season in style, with new services and a completely updated look. In this post we show you every detail of this hotel that has become the envy of the place.

Lobby

On arrival you will be greeted by an exquisitely decorated, elegant and majestic lobby. Here you will be overcome by a sense of calm thanks to the cool white decor, which pervades the space from the floor to the ceiling. Characteristic details have been kept, including the columns and the impressive chandelier, which hangs in the centre, with its interlaced crystals and golden touches, giving the lobby a touch of elegance.

Bedrooms

Now for the best part! Your relaxation area! The hotel’s 327 rooms now feature a modern design with simple lines and functional furnishings designed for your comfort. The change is impressive! Most important are the spectacular views of the landscape from the balconies where you can relax while listening to the sound of the sea.

Restaurants

In this area, the hotel boasts a brand new look! It now has a lobby bar where you can enjoy the hotel’s exquisite cocktails. It also offers a new 24-hour self-service area that allows guests to access snacks and drinks at any time of the day or night. There’s even more! The hotel has added new restaurants to its offer: the restaurant “Kulinarium”, with local produce and the well-known “Pepe’s Food”, with its casual grilled food, located in the same area as the pool bar.

And the main restaurant? The buffet is still there for you to enjoy international cuisine, but now it has a new look!

Outdoor area

In this area there are still the same number of swimming pools: two for adults and one for the little ones. But as we know that you like to top up your tan, we have extended the solarium area!
