Formentera: RIU’s little piece of paradisedate_range 11 August, 2020 question_answer Leave your thoughts
The little paradise that is Formentera is the perfect place for those who love nature and idyllic beaches. This tiny island has a magical quality that makes every visitor want to return. We have witnessed the delight of our guests whose visits to Formentera started back in 1993 with the opening of our Hotel Riu La Mola, located on one of the destination’s best beaches: Playa de Migjorn.
Hotel Riu La Mola
As we said, the Hotel Riu La Mola is in the perfect location and enjoys the privilege of direct access to the beach! Furthermore, one feature that sets this property apart is the marvellous panoramic views from its terraces and pools which are truly breathtaking! It is, without doubt, the ideal hotel for enjoying a Formentera sunset.
The hotel offers a half board arrangement, enabling you to enjoy an exquisite and varied range of gastronomic delights. At lunchtime you are free to explore the surrounding area and discover the island’s restaurants where you can try Formentera’s flavoursome Mediterranean cuisine. At this hotel, in an unparalleled setting, you can enjoy a truly memorable experience be it with your partner, friends or the whole family!
What is there to see in Formentera?
Once you have settled in to the hotel and taken a dip in the sea at the beach, you must go and see the famous lighthouse, the Faro de la Mola. Everyone who goes has a photo taken of themselves with the landmark in the background that has become an iconic symbol for visitors and Formentera residents alike. As well as taking a photo to post on social media and show off your summer holiday destination, we recommend that you turn round to take in the magnificent views available from this point on the island! Unbeatable!
Once you have seen this iconic Formentera landmark, the best advice we can give you is to explore the island from end to end, visiting each of its beaches and coves which, by the way, can certainly hold their own if compared with the Caribbean or the Maldives. Additionally, the water is perfect for scuba diving and snorkelling enthusiasts. You’ll return home with an enviable tan!
If you find time between one tiny slice of paradise and another you can visit:
- The Cap de Barbaria lighthouse
- The Cova Foradada cave
- The capital, Sant Francesc
- The saltwater lakes of s’Estany des Peix and s’Estany Pudent
- The tiny island of s’Espalmador
Go for it! Come and see us at the Hotel Riu La Mola and see for yourself how this incredible island is even more of a shining attraction than ever.
