date_range 19 December, 2017 question_answer 31 CommentsIn November, the new wing of the Hotel Riu Republica was unveiled, following completion of its enlargement. Besides adding new rooms, swimming pools and restaurants, the hotel finally has its own Splash Water World, a water park where youngsters (and the young at heart) can enjoy different types of slides, pools for cooling off and lounge chairs for sunbathing.
The hotels in our resort in Punta Cana (the Riu Palace Punta Cana, Riu Palace Macao, Riu Palace Bavaro, Riu Naiboa and the ClubHotel Riu Bambu) already had their own water park. Now people who love water parks have another reason to stay at the Riu Republica.
Splash Water World includes all types of slides. You’ll get an authentic adrenaline rush when you whoosh down the Kamikaze from heights of several metres, or the free-fall slide for a unique sensation. Another option is the Body Vortex, a tube slide that shoots you towards the pool. There’s nothing like it!

That looks fabulous! Hoping to take the family on a trip sometime, and would love to have them see the DR! Unfortunately the funds just not there this coming March. Hope to see u sometime for an experience 2 b remembered 4ever!

Returned home from Riu Republica August 16th. First time there, but 5th time at Punta Cana Rius. Loved it all, no complaints as usual. One thing, they always welcome me back with a package in my room on arrival, but sadly not this time. Is this custom no longer in service? I always appreciated the gesture.

I can’t wait! My fiance and I just booked our honeymoon to the RIU Republica in Punta Cana for the week of July 29th, 2018. Our wedding is the day before we arrive, and we are so excited!! I didn’t even know about the water park until after we booked. This makes us even more excited!!

I’m confused. We booked this property as it was “Adults Only”, but your blog says “a water park where youngsters (and the young at heart) can enjoy different types of slides”, and you respond positively to a gentleman who wants to bring his family. Please clarify what the actual situation is?

The Riu Republica is for adults only, and the Slpash Water Park is only for hotel guests. Therefore, the Splash Water Park is for adults only.
