Splash Water World is the water park concept of RIU Hotels & Resorts, offering free, unlimited access to guests staying at the hotels that form part of each resort complex. There are 22 hotels with access to a Splash Water World in eight countries: Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Spain, Cape Verde, Senegal and the United Arab Emirates. Access is included in the All Inclusive service: no tickets, no paid wristbands and no advance booking. Some high-speed attractions and slides require a minimum height of 1.20 m and have a recommended minimum age of 12, and every park has children’s areas for younger guests.
What is Splash Water World and who can use it?
Splash Water World is an exclusive service for RIU guests. It isn’t a park open to the general public, but a facility inside our resort complexes. If you’re staying at one of the hotels that form part of the complex where the park is located, you can use it every day of your stay, as many times as you like.
At RIU, we’ve designed it so every traveller can find their own pace: thrill-seekers have high-speed slides, while those who prefer something calmer can enjoy the sun and water without any rush.
How does access to Splash Water World work?
Access is simple, with no small print:
- Free and unlimited: it’s part of your All Inclusive, with no hidden costs or single-day tickets.
- No advance booking: you don’t need to book a slot or make an appointment. Just head over during opening hours.
- Come and go as you please: you can hit the slides in the morning, go back to the hotel buffet for lunch, take a break and return to the park in the afternoon.
- Services inside the park: relaxation areas with sun loungers and parasols, plus a bar serving water and soft drinks at no extra cost.

What slides are there at Splash Water World?

- Kamikaze: a steep drop that gives you the rush of a controlled free fall straight into the landing pool. Only for those who aren’t afraid of heights.
- Aquaracer: several parallel lanes, so you can race your family or friends at the same time on mats designed for speed. First one to the bottom wins.
- Body Vortex: an enclosed slide with high-speed twists and turns before it shoots you straight into the pool.

How to plan a family holiday with Splash Water World
If the water park is one of the reasons for your trip, these steps will help you choose the right booking:
- Choose a family hotel. If you’re travelling with children under 18 (or under 21 in destinations where local law requires it), rule out the Adults Only hotels in the table.
- Consider your children’s age and height. Below 1.20 m they’ll mostly enjoy the children’s area; from that height and age 12 they’ll be able to use the high-speed slides.
- Combine the park with the kids’ clubs. RIU Land, the kids’ club for children aged 4 to 12 led by Calú, our sea turtle mascot, is available at the chain’s family hotels; we recommend confirming this when choosing your hotel. At selected hotels you’ll also find Riu4u, with activities for teenagers.
- Plan your day in blocks. A good approach is to spend the morning at the park, head back to the hotel for lunch and a rest during the hottest hours, and return in the afternoon.
